Wow! I am so thrilled. I was raised in AME Church and I was ordained in as an evangelist at the age of 11, I remember I once walked more than 105km from my home district to another district in my tender age just to attend an annual conference. Today have learnt much more from this video which I couldn't in my tenderly age.

I can also agree wit the below comments on this figure. Since this is one of those characters in history you hardly ever hear about. Being a minority group in the past isn't great nor pretty.

I like the video, however I am AME and my research shows Richard and his family was sold together. I am putting together membership training and I want to be accurate with the information. Where is that information noted.

@dehaven46 1. Probably because by the time he hit his teens( ie 14-15) he was already a devout Methodist, and would have wanted to read the Bible he was already familiar with. 3. Self education was common during the Revolutionary War Era, as no less than Ben Franklin was self taught.

@@vernonrobinson1685 you coming equals to faith You're trusting that what's in the book is true! But reality begs to different 👍🏿 these people had to be educated but being uneducated is more dramatic I guess 🤦🏾‍♂️
