我意見，7系细落地的是低音量比较多，但多不等於靚低音，805可能在同一比较大空間可能低音量小，但高中低音质量一定勝於7系！玩hifi當然以靚聲優先！

I am an owner of Luxman L509x integrated and at this moment i am running B&W 702 signature.I am thinking of upgrading to B&W 805d4 signature and i will kindly ask you for your opinion on this mach?Do you think that this model of Luxman has the power to drive them as well how you will describe the sound of b%w 805d4 signature vs 805d4 .Thanks in advance.

The Luxman 509X can drive the 805D4 speakers, but in larger spaces or at higher volumes, you might encounter some limitations. In fact, the 702 speakers you are currently using are even more challenging to drive. So, if you are satisfied with the performance of your 702 speakers, you should be similarly satisfied with the 805D4. However, it's essential to consider whether the bass output will be sufficient, as you may find that the 805D4 (whether it's the signature version or not) has slightly less bass compared to the 702. As for whether to opt for the signature version, it ultimately depends on your budget and whether you have a preference for the signature version's color.

Si vous aimez les aigus brillants, alors optez pour B&W. Son apparence est également très élégante et son image sonore est excellente. Cependant, si vous préférez la reproduction fidèle de l'espace sonore, si vous accordez de l'importance à la vivacité musicale, alors Focal est plus adapté.

Heard these recently, and compared to the Borresen Z1. The Borresen makes these B&Ws sound like broken toys. Feel bad for anyone buying it.

I agree that Borresen makes excellent speakers, but B&W also has a strong reputation. I'm afraid I can't share your perspective.

@@feverSoundHK Just like McIntosh, B&W survives purely and only on its past reputation from 801 matrix era. Things have changed. Everyone in hifi knows they are not the best, deep in their hearts. The 805D4 suffers the usual problems of too much treble energy, recessed lower mids, and a 'ported' bass sound lacking speed. There are so many other better choices in its price range, like Magico A1, Borresen Z1 or even TAD ME1. Any one of these are easily way better than the B&W. Why should anyone choose the B&W? I don't know of a single thing that B&W does better than those speakers. None.

Your comment has a clear stance, and I'm not looking to engage in an argument with you. However, the bright nature of B&W's diamond tweeter is a characteristic of the design. The bass reflex port design is also quite common, and it's challenging to perceive this as a design flaw. I'd like to emphasize that we have tested many speakers, including the excellent ones you mentioned. They are not universally good or bad; their performance is tied to equipment matching and personal preferences. This is the fascinating aspect of audio.
