@@FUJINFACE Yeah... It was the lore of the old game. That's all about I can remember. I can't remember much of it. And PS1 version is too shitty to play again. Now I cannot play any slow pace game. I guess I've become too old. I need fast pace action, that's I stop following all FF series until they released Real-time Combat with FFXV where I picked it up again. But I sure do remember that Cloud far surpassed other SOLDIER due to Hojo secret experiment that were only ever done Cloud & Zack and experiment were done behind everyone's back too because he captured both of them secretly and that's why no one knew about Cloud. Both were held in Glass Chambers next to each other and somehow, Zack was able to break free after Hojo abandon them or was it due to Avalanche cause Reactors to explode? I can't remember. And Zack carried an unconscious Cloud with him and telling him his life story until he reached Mid-gar and were killed off by Shinra. And the downside of the experiment was Sepheroth's control. As Zack & other earlier waves of SOLDIER weren't effected by Sepheroth. Only Cloud & Later Generation do. It was a backdoor designed by Shinra to ensure that no matter how powerful new SOLDIER are, Sepheroth will always able to control them. I haven't completed Rebirth yet... But in old game, there was a point in game where Cloud became a Puppet and was fully under Sepheroth's control. However... I couldn't figure out why Cloud so obsessed with Sepheroth and why Sepheroth is very obsessed with Cloud. The only option I could think of, it's Sepheroth being Cloud's Dad... I mean... Cloud is a small time SOLDIER who never even officially made SOLDIER... Why would Sepheroth was so obsessed with Cloud? Unless they both suffered from Blood-ties Enemies Syndrome where they tried to kill each other because they were related. There is similar condition where Parent & Children s3xually attracted to each other. Only in this case, Cloud & Sepheroth want to kill each other. I can't remember the key detail in Hojo's new version of SOLDIER. I know he study Sepheroth but I am not sure..... if I were to guessed... I think Hojo used Sepheroth Gene to do incest with Jenova Gene in order to produce a Superior SOLDIER strain that was later used on Cloud. If Cloud's SOLDIER Strains, came from Mixture of Sepheroth & Jenova, that would make both of them somewhat Parents to Cloud... if we played by the rule on how Jenova became Sepheroth's mother. And that would explain why Sepheroth is so obsessed with killing Cloud, because Lion... do try to kill their Cups to remain in Powers. Because it never made sense to me on why Sepheroth is so keen on following Cloud because if anybody with a blood for him to pick, it would be with Shinra.

@@austinjt4264 At some point I want to rewatch a few important parts of the OG game for context. Its been a long while so I don't remember much of the ending anymore.

@@FUJINFACE Yeah... I was born in late 80s. Things were good then. But even then... FF weren't Top of my list. What's Top of my list was Tenchu & Resident Evil series. It was only after I ran out of game to play.. that I picked up on Chocobo Race, that lead to Chocobo Lores... which let to FF7 and all its related games. Now too much shits going on, I can't play those PS1 games anymore... That being said... I seemed to recall vividly now, that Cloud's SOLDIER strains might came from incestuous hybrid of Sepheroth & Jenova. There was Character in FF7 Advance Children, the one with Twin Katana that later Sepheroth possessed. He called Jenova "Mother" and called Cloud "Big Brother".

On my first playthrough of FF7 OG my memory card got corrupted around mid game and I stopped playing it because I was so pissed! 2 years later I played it again and finished it with all levels maxed and all the Ultima weapons and summons and all that. Also Tenchu was a great game, it needs a remake too.

It could be for sure. My biggest thing is why add Glenn to this game at all? Why make him seem so important? If he was just a throw away character to piss off Rufus why make him such a big part of the ending for Rebirth?

I could be for sure. Its all just theory at this point. However, the alternative would be Cloud's dad was just one of the humanish monsters that were found in and around the Nibel reactor which is kind of boring imo. The thing that bugs me is why insert this guy Glenn into to the story at all if he is not going to be super important? Why give him this super strong bond with Sephiroth?
