FFVII - How far can I get at level 99 without healing?

This is something I've wanted to do for a while, and now that I have a level 99 file in the first reactor, I have a good excuse. The idea is simple. I will fight all the mandatory battles (and some optional bosses), but I am never allowed to heal or replenish my MP. Since I don't feel like playing through the whole game, I will fight all the battles in the Train Graveyard. I wanted a full party for this one, so it'll be this party for the entire challenge. This time, I'm allowed to use anything that's normally available at the time you fight a battle. The only exception is equipment and materia combinations that will heal me, like using the Water Ring against Jenova-LIFE, but stuff that nulls damage is fine.
This will be a short series with no more than five episodes. This first part covers Midgar, where I took very little damage. As of right now, I have not finished the challenge, so I do not know the answer. Please feel free to guess.

When you killed Dark Nation I think Rufus went insane with fear.

Interesting challenge indeed! I imagine the greatest threats will be stuff like Poison or other status ailments, thankfully I assume you're allowed to cure those, in case of an undue petrification or something. I don't remember if any boss has access to instant death attacks off the top of my head, but if there's any, it'd be pretty scary if you can't kill them super fast (Which, to be fair, shouldn't be a big problem at that level).

With all those tools, I'm pretty confident you'd win. If you do lose, I can only imagine it happening due to attrition from Diamond Weapon/Hojo not leaving enough wiggle room for the last three.

Taking into consideration you're now able to use anything other than healing that's available at the point of the game the bosses are fought at, even without healing I still think you stand a chance of finishing considering you can get access to KoTR, Quadra Magic and Mime after Jenova-DEATH and the forced fight(s) in Junon (also Omnislash on the Temple fights?). Although off the top of my head I can think of a few bosses later in disc 1/early in disc 2 that have the potential to really put a dent in the HP depending on how your luck goes, so I'm not committing to a definite win yet. If anything does finish you off, it'll be really late, something like a somewhat buffed Safer-Sephiroth.

I wasn't planning on using KotR in this challenge, but this is my one chance to have a 100% Vegh approved strategy, so I will make an exception.

Final Attacks from stuff like Schizo will interesting to deal with, will you use Elemental to reduce to damage to zero? Technically not healing, but it'll be interesting either way. Good luck!

Canceling out damage is allowed, just nothing that heals. So with the right equipment and materia, Schizo's entire moveset can be negated.

Judging by the amount of Critical hits I see there, I wonder. Does the Luck you attain from getting to Level 99 make such a big difference, or does Level (and potential Level Difference between attacker and target) factor into the Critical Hit-Chance calculation?

This sounds like an interesting challenge. I worry about Heartless Angel or any other attack that results in critical HP though. Also, this'll give you the strongest Safer statwise but not HP-wise. Should be fun.

Fun idea. The biggest threat here is percentage damage and I think Super Nova is the only attack in a mandatory fight that does it. I think it's doable.

Are you going to manually change your hp for sections that auto heal?

Schizo may be a problem, he has a decent amount of garuanteed damage, and since you would be recovering MP bosses that require MP to speed up could really pile up and cause trouble.

Interesting! It's been a while since I played FF7, I'm assuming there are unskippable "inns" or story events that full-heal your party? Are those just accepted as part of the run, or do you have a way around them?

He's not playing through the game he just got to the train graveyard and is loading the fights with codes so he doesn't have to worry about that.
