I forgot the rich details about her conversation with Lady Yunalesca. Did they both talk about the cycle or the dreaming Zanarkand fayth? I suspect it's the former because from what l basically gather, Yunalesca told Yuna to choose one of her guardians in order to be transformed into the final Aeon. If that's the case, Yuna hadn't ultimately known until Tidus had said so before battling Yu Yevon, or am l wrong?

“We fought and defeated her” I can only imagine Mika’s face when he realizes what they did was something was the last thing ANYONE in the entirely of Spira would ever try to do. If it was in manga form, Mika’s face would be one of of a madman unable to comprehend what they did, and starts cursing up a storm before sending himself off out of despair.

What is crazy is that people of spira prayed to the yevon religion . Then you find out yevon Is sin. Then they pray to the faith who summon the dream that fuels yevon. To live forever by giving him the power to use sin as a armor. the dream world people where just fuel that yevon made the faith use to summon sin .

It is based on reality, FF 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 were all heavily influenced by real world strife and religion and secrets. Yevon is like Vatican Catholic, deep dark secrets under their masks of being of God.

For real, and he probably feels like a real sucker for hating on the Al Bhed, only to find out that Yuna and Rikku were also Al Bhed and the Al Bhed leadership was just trying to protect Yuna

I always liked how this showed the trait in all the Unsent, where they are really stuck in the same mindset they were in when they died. Sure Auron is traveling along with the group, but that's only motivated by the promise he's trying to for-full. All his actions are based on his promises, and everything else he tries to rush past, as if he can't even comprehend, or refuses to arch-knowledge them as anything of import. Seymour who can't see past his desire to become the next Sin. While having some character traits back when he was alive, be becomes full "death" focused after being unsent. Yunalesca who adamantly believes her way is the only way, not even comprehending there might be another solution. Maester Maika being the same, thinking that their 1000 years of preforming the same tactic over and over is the only solution, the very idea of defeating sin being impossible in their mind. I don't think its a deal of being stubborn, but more that unsent are unable to learn new concepts. Whatever spark it is that drives the living, they no longer have that, and can only remain a shadow of their former self. A reflection from an old photograph if you may. I feel that even if Maika would have stuck around to see Sin being defeated, he would have been unable to even comprehend it, to actually realize what had happened.

Yu Yevon is a type of Unsent also and is only obsessed with make Sin stronger and maintaining the Dream Zanarkand.

No one ever mentions the pure heartbreak and pride on Cid’s face when he keeps his back to her. Some consider it rude, I look at a man too proud of his own self to show that he’s so proud of his niece and how happy he is she’s still alive, maybe even seeing some of his sister in her.

I think he was seeing his sister in Yuna and that was not a complete look of sadness cause he may have known at this point Yuna would not die. It would like a face so broken in joy and sarrow.

Is it just me or is FFX story literally the exact same thing as The Matrix? And I mean that as a compliment. It's just beautiful. Even the concept of the Final Aeon and how YuYevon uses it to continue the cycle of Sin is exactly similar to the concept of The One and how The Architect/machines use it to continue the cycle of reloading The Matrix. It's absolutely beautiful

Well actually Yevon created Sin... Yu Yevon used to be a grand summoner, but he has a lot of hatred against Bevile. After all those years, he became a parasite who now lives inside of his own creation, "Sin".

That was so weird. But I remember reading somewhere that it was supposed to show Yu Yevon's loss of humanity from constantly leeching off the final aeons to make a new sin. No longer human in any sense and more of a parasite.

FF7 is always gonna be my favorite to play, but yes, FFX is probably the closest to a perfect game anyone will ever get. Story, characters, music, gameplay, endgame. It has it all at 10/10

I really appreciate how well each character is represented and they all get their fair share of dialogue. Even 7 let's some of their character fall to the wayside.

It was always interesting to me to find out what Tidus really was. At first you think he's just some guy from Zanarkand who got thrown forward in time.... Then eventually you figure out he's basically the Aeon of Zanarkand.... but so is Jecht?
