Lol yeah it was awesome but I could definitely see it ruining some new player experiences. Also if people don't know how to cheese through the raidwide, you'll just end up spending 15mins on the fight just to vote abandon. Which kinda sucks when queues are so long at the moment..

In my experience, most groups just drop as soon as the Syrcus Tower title card drops.

So for my fellow Xbox players, the solution of switching to a low pop server is more of a bandaid fix as the freezing will 100% still occur (I’ve frozen 3 times on Kraken - Dynamis). However, the low pop means you don’t have to wait 45 minutes to get back in when you do freeze so at least some of the annoyance is alleviated. I have found I freeze most often when entering dungeons or leaving dungeons and immediately entering a cutscene. The issue also occurs if a cutscene goes into a fight or a fight goes into a cutscene. Morning you’ll have less freezing, evening be prepared for multiple regardless of your server.

I cant do alliance raids confidently now, theres a 50/50 chance when moving to a different area of the raid it just might crash

@@northslate4850 yup. I crashed during sycrus last night. I was able to get back in within a few minutes though since the server I traveled to is low pop.

Hot fix on launch week does not feel abnormal for an MMORPG. Question is where to fit it in. Pulling down the game on Thursday i know would make the NA DC kind of ornery(holiday in the US for some).

I've had the countdown on PS5 but it was always counting down to the full release, not early access. There was also a pretty big patch I had to download today for DawnTrail.

I completed Amon Savage yesterday when it was bugged out. It was a fun challenge and one of those moments I'm really glad I play PLD.

Hey, dude. I main a PLD too. Isn't the class fun in level 60+ dungeons? It's really fun when you can do more than just choose three attack skills to use.

One other thing i dont think they are aware is. When you /tell the name doesn't stay like it used too. You have to reply or click their name everytime you want to text back

Yeah I had to put my lighting down to 0 from 1, my house was set up for low lighting and 1 is so much brighter now.

@@GeekEntertainmentConsumer ? if you found it too dark before when houses have an in game brightness setting that most keep at a lower setting cuz thats bright enough, that makes me think your monitor brightness is way too low or something lol

Been getting frame drops in certain cutscenes on ps5. Usually ones with a big panoramic view, worst ones seem to be the zone introductory cutscenes.

same, though not on the same areas it seems. the first time I noticed was on the first voiced cutscene with a hanuhanu. but also got it in actual game play. I have a suspicious it is due to the dynamic light causing shadow. something I noticed the last time I got framedrop. but on the intro panoramic cutscenes, that I did not have a problem with. but a difference, it seems I'm still using ps4 client on ps5. I think I will need to reinstall it. dunno why it did not install the proper client in the first place. so my issues could be due to that as well

Simple speculation; They made prettier ice, but never updated the spawn ID for the broken encounters. Then they removed the old ice entities, and now the bosses were trying to spawn something that didn't exist anymore.

I play on PS5, when I was able to login there’s this weird visual bug. The game blurs and dims when you move your character. So if you move and stop it’s a constant focus, dim blur repeat… I wonder if anyone else is experiencing this on PS5?

Stayed up an hour extra to beat Amon savage. Hopefully they also realize the forgot to add a LEAVE cutscene option, or allow change job and join duty option

So are when are they gonna fix the mogstation payment? I haven’t been able to play the game in a month because everytime I used any card to buy crysta and or renew subscription it keeps saying card unavailable.

You have to remove the card then add it back because of the payment processor they used to use being changed.

Have you tried using paypal or amazon pay? That's what I had to do to bypass the mogstation issue with Visa cards

it's only specifically visa debits having an issue due a payment processor + visa situation happening all across japan. they said they're trying to fix that by july. that being said, literally any other payment option works including visa credit!

Have been unable to play ff14 since the update came out. No issues before the maintenance but now get directx fatal error (3000000) as soon as you launch the game. Sadly, a common issue reported on the square enix forum with no solution in sight. Sadge

Speaking of issues Anyone feels like occasionally the graphics look _worse_ than pre-update? Like, sometimes (namely when there are alot of details on screen) everything becomes *extremely* pixelated

Yeahhh the Xbox version is pretty rough at the moment, i played last night going through MSQ and i crashed 17 times. Its going between zones but also going out of cutscenes. It doesn't happen every time but often enough to happen 17 times in ~6/7 hours of playing

The amount of crashes I’ve had on Xbox has been staggering (and made worse when you have to wait a good 5-10 or even more so minutes to sign back in). Hopefully the patch to fix this won’t take too long, but it is deterring me to play something else until this fix gets implemented since even stepping out of an inn can cause things to freeze up.

i can forsee a few patches incoming due to the many small issues and some fairly big ones that folks are finding...like the odd dps gltich some have that has locked them into around 40 fps no matter what they tinker with in settings, this despite them getting high or above rating in the benchmark...its almost like the game thinks they're on a console not pc and has locked framerates.

Did you make sure the resolution setting matches your new screen resolution? IIRC it doesn't automatically detect stuff like changing screens

The issues with this game so far are pretty light, honestly. I'm not surprised that the game is going to take a bit of work to get the bugs & issues worked out since it's still in early launch until the 5th of July.

There's an issue on ps5 specifically for a bunch of players where the mount tilt just... isn't in the game? Some are unaffected, some are. I'm one. I used all my mounts and the tilt is nowhere to be seen. Anymore, that is. For the first few hours, it was working just fine for me, then all of the sudden, gone. Closing the game won't fix it either, like it's just permanently gone for me even though it was working at launch

I had the tilt feature on PS5 and the very start. But after playing a while and restarting once, it was gone. Haven’t been able to get it back to work yet.

I wonder if it’s only PS5 ? I’m on PS4 and my mounts are still tilting. All though I haven’t flown since 7.0 dropped but the mounts til a bit while grounded. I’ll try flying and see if it goes away

Yeah it sucks, im on xbox and during the mornings/early afternnon its not bad at all. Peak hours sucks. Got booted, tried to log back in and was 2386 in queue. And using another data cebter doesn't work. Ive tried and it just boots me back to main screen and says try again. Kinda of a bummer paying for early access and only being able to use it in a limited capacity.

Basically they are allocating/deallocating too many times which causes the fragmentation. Games used to use their own memory pools to avoid things like this.

idk if it is intentional but having to manually respond or alt r every time you want to reply to a tell now is the single most annoying thing that's happened to me in ff14 in over 12k hours played. it's ruining my experience.

@@nagginsnuggets9424 Many issues dont appear until you have a massive amount of people for them to come to light. This is true with any product. You should judge the company on the level of severity of the issues and how fast they acknowledge it and resolve it. This expansion is very smooth for an MMO.

Should add Fem Hrothgar being ugly af to that list, the main problem is the arms are giant sized compared to torso, like they don't belong to the body at all. Reduction in arm size bulk would fix the shoulders of some outfits from bulking out so much it looks ugly.

I'd say make a slight reduction to their shoulder size so that its still big but not too big and increase the head size a little would be fine. But so far I only like how they look in armor and certain casual clothes. And they should unlock their hair styles I don't know why they kept the hairs locked to face type everyone hated it before and it's still hated now but I rather them focus on keeping the game steady first.

They are supposed to have a body builder female body. I agree that many clothes look bad on them but it can be worked around with different outfits, be creative.
