칠흑 기다리면서 부대원들과 찍은 영상입니다. 재미있게 봐주세요. A little project I've done with friends while waiting for the Shadowbringers on the Korean server. Hope you will enjoy it as much as I did making it.

Music videos like this makes me wish I had a big gang of friends to play this game with. I’m in an FC but I don’t really know anyone in it besides the person who invited me and I spend most of my time with my friend who joined the same FC as me because I’ve known her for years before I started playing FFXIV

why cant the game actually look this pleasant to they eyes? and it could be done easily. square could make a proprietary,in-house gshade type addition that is designed from the ground up to work within the engine and architecture of xiv without being a resource hog...but they dont! cause everything that requires any sort of extra work is like pulling teeth for these guys. TIME TO REINVEST some of that mog station/extra retainers money into your 2007 looking game guys! part of the subs and game purchases are covering the base expansions! now part of the extra dough youre cashing should cover the extras that we so desperately need!

One problem with that. The PlayStation 3 could not support such a thing in addition to all the other shit that FFXIV does visually and sound-wise, network-wise and ping-wise. Now, it's true that PlayStation 3 support ended. But it ended relatively recently. FFXIV's team is already understaffed and overworked besides, and there's really not been a lot of time to produce the addition you're speaking of since the PS3 was phased out, even for a team that did not have such problems. Especially with the pandemic hitting, graphical upgrades of that sort probably aren't their first priority rn. As such, your complaint shows a very tenuous grasp on the reality of implementing what you're shitting on Square for not slapping together for something that only part of the player base could support. Not to mention, the in-game faces look *way* too good to be 2007. So, maybe be more on point there next time. There are many legit reasons to critique Square and FFXIV in particular. The hill you're dying on here isn't one of them. Edit: Added 'support' where the word was warranted for clarification.

@@rlagay everything you said was completely pulled out of your ass lol. (but you phrased it in such a pretentious and self assured way that it made it sound like you had the slightest idea of what you're talking about) Understaffed? This is a job ONE person could do. It's SHADERS! has nothing to do with ps3 support. Just like the ps3 didn't have the option to set the graphics to "ultra". Oh and you know what multinational conglomerates bragging about having the best selling mmo of all time with the most active subs do when they're "understaffed"???? THEY HIRE MORE PEOPLE!!!!!!
@rlagay3 жыл бұрын
@@doubleclick4132 You know, I'm reminded of a certain meme reading your comment, of the crying man wearing a mask depicting a smug face. It's really quite unsightly. Yes, you hire more people when you're understaffed, but the fact that you expressed that as though it's a simple thing really puts your ignorance on full blast. There are things that need consideration when hiring people for this position: how well do they work in a team setting? How well do they work in *this* team setting? Can they follow directions? Is their work up to snuff? Can we retain them? Can we afford hiring them without causing friction amongst the staff we've already retained? And so on. If leadership and project management were so simple, we wouldn't have societies with a centralized power structure, now would we? It really is those who are ignorant of their ignorance that are the truly dangerous. The shaders you talked about, one person does the settings, sure, but it gets complicated when you have to integrate it into existing systems without overhauling everything. Then there're bug tests, accounting for the fact that stable code can just break randomly at times, and further complicating the issue is the resource allocation part of the exam. You're not talking about configuring a shader. You're talking about *building one from the ground up.* That's a multi-person job if you're going to do it and get it working as intended within an appreciable period. As for the PS3 support, it had everything to do with that. The PS3 really limited what they could do, because certain things the hardware couldn't handle. And if you disallow the PS3 from using your hypothetical proprietary shader, you're possibly creating a situation where the two versions, for PS3 and for everyone else, have different code, and different code conflicts even when it's totally compatible, though in weird and unforeseeable ways. That would be a really bad look considering Square and the FFXIV team in general have only recently unearthed the hole the previous team, headed by idiots as it was, dug them into before they even started. There. I believe that's all the fecal matter you just spewed from your facehole addressed.
