Thanks! I really like the Bow myself, not only to assist the Scepter, but just having a consistent ranged option is very nice. And that warp strike is just so good :D Though, I very much like the idea of having a sword and a spear in the for the versatility they bring. Applied Sorcery is an interesting choice. I take it you like using Death and Alterna a lot?

Asetoni FFXV I do use them, but not nearly as much as I just chuck spells lol. Applied Sorcery is really because my style of fighting is that of the Hit N Run variety. Gladio is set up to Tank/ Crowd Control, Ignis to Heal/Provide I Frames with Overwhelm or Regroup (and very rarely cause stop on some enemies), and Prompto is the perpetual annoyance with poison, Piercer, rapid fire stun and the myriad other debuffs from Starshell. My Noctis is set up for the DPS. Drop nuke, warp to target (or targets not being killed by nuke), airdance/ Blindside attacks with the limit break node active, warp out of the way of counter attack damage (preferably to a warp point so the next warp strike is somewhat significant in the way of damage, break, or knockdown) So I do a lot of warping at fast pace which leads to me continually running low on MP. I can't be bothered to top off every single time, so Applied Sorcery keeps the flow of combat going and gives I frames as well. Ring of the Lucii is my cheese strat for just walking through stuff I otherwise don't wanna deal with, but also don't wanna run away from. (ie Magitek Troopers, The enemies before Zu on Ravatogh) And its just so powerful now. Everything dies immediately with death and Holy does so much, Alterna is only ever used to be flashy. Thanks to the rule that you cannot use the Ring in Timed Hunts, which usually take up my playtime trying to get high on the board, I developed a sort of involuntary detachment from it.

Yea, Zwill can be very item-intensive at times, but you're wrong about one thing. The damage buff is based on your current HP total, so daemons reducing your max HP doesn't permanently take away that. Still, every time you get hit it does temporarily become a normal endgame weapon instead of being the godlike destruction machine it is at full health. I very much recommend the Adamantite Bangle if you're going to Costlemark or want to avoid using items at all costs. I'm able to do without it outside Costlemark, but I'm not taking a glass cannon build into that dungeon.

Thanks for the correction! I assumed you needed 100% max HP, so any permanent dmg would take away the buff. I had never properly tested it. My first Costlemark Run was made with Lasagna mostly for the EXP buff (since I wasn't yet lvl 120) but the 4k HP almost maxes out most Bros' HP and the elemental immunity nullifies many of the worst attacks (the Birfrost comes to mind). So I rarely got into trouble and used Healcast mostly to "power up" Zwill by healing a little max HP dmg (in my incorrect understanding). But with other food (like crit), Adamantite Bangle could really come in handy. Thanks for the help!

MemoriesLP Yes, doing the aerial attack skips the combo starter if you're close enough. That's the idea behind changing targets with aerial attacks. I used to like Zwill a lot, but then I just used it everywhere because it was so good and kinda grew bored of it. Also I dislike how it can't be used well with Royal Arms.

Asetoni FFXV Oh, if you do a small jump and aerial attack instead of doing the combo starter is actually a good idea at any enemy, I think. Im maybe wrong. I remember me doing Air Dance and using the Aerial Attack from Pious because of the damage, and than switching to something else on the ground. oh, and you said it skips in the video at that part you talk about the aerial attack, in the end, I forgot about it lol. Thats why I watch it 2 times, in case I dont miss any small detail.

I hadn't played with it in a while so I went ahead and tested it. It still produces the clones like it used to. Are you sure you were using the trident form attacks for this? Those have always been the only attacks that produce them.

lastkings_regis1 Nowhere, they don't actually exist. I just edited an image a Hypno Crown. It was just to show a hypotethical magitek suit V2 equivalent for magic.

Trident of the Oracle has the same main combo, but other than that, it's a completely different weapon. It scales with strength, has different directional attacks and aerial attacks. Overall, the Scepter is noticeably better, but Trident is still one of the best weapons in the game.

awesome! i was thinking of pairing the trident to a different weapon for switching (wonder what's best for combo). i'm not really good with int build because i sacrifice a lot of survivability. thanks for the quick response btw! subbed! :D
