Their webbings have to be somehow equal , so when one has a longer arm , they have to either drop the hand or back off the elbow. See Laletin for example, he often has to do both.

@@satyamsharma9570 the "technique"" isn't really something a puller can just pick out from their pocket at will anytime they want. There's a lot moment in the match where they're in the spot that can't do anything better (look how hard it was for her to slip out of opponent hand, let alone fighting against that). Also she doesn't have the hook, so even if her toproll didn't work, she would not magically has the hook strength. Apparently the strength gap is too big anyway.

Their front arms have a big length difference. I guess if your arms are short you have advantage. imagine you have a long stick and you put a weight on the far edge of it vs you have a short stick. You can easily lift it if your stick is shorter.

How could Ekaterina have such a bad set up over and over again. She was already beaten because of that, not to mention Fia was on a totally different level. nikisheva opted the wrong technique that is low hand toproll and that didn't worked for her. i always knew that low hand toproll isn't that much a good technique and also in this technique the fear of getting your wrist injured is much higher than others
