HUGE grid, the world's best TCC racers, works cars... will it ever be this good again? When we look at the mid-late touring car championships, it makes me somewhat sad for what we lost.

@MrTNL3 no i was aware of that, thanks for asking. though i do believe the last guy to win a NASCAR road course race was a colombian, and the last guy to win an IRL race was an australian, followed by a new zealander, followed by an englishman. so i'm not saying they don't do it, just saying they're no good at it!

This footage is unreal. i was at this with my uncle it was my first touring car race i was 11 or 12 years old. i think matt neal was driving a green mazda 323f and i remember a yellow and purple cavalier not sure who though. ive been after some footage. does anyone know whether u can get the whole race on tape or dvd. where did u get this from?

That he did! Menu's a fantastic driver but historically has made mistakes when down in the pack, like we saw here and in the 98 finale at Silverstone

No, it isn't. The FIA, the MSA and every other motorsport governing body (except obviously stock car ones) will tell you that motorsport is a non contact sport. The only reason that touring cars get away with it is because when they have a race meeting they have a different set of officals for their race to any other races at the meeting. They do that so that idiots will watch it on TV and think it's good racing.
