This video is dedicated to the legendary Fiat 124 Sport Spider Abarth Rally that I've enjoyed seeing in action in recent years with different models; both prepared for the race, some with group 4 specs and some road ones. The footage was made in Hillclimb races for historic cars such as Bologna-San Luca, Bologna-Raticosa, Alpe del Nevegal and Vernasca Silver Flag. Another material comes from the past dictions of the San Marino Rally Legend and the Revival Rally Valpantena. This iconic legend of the 70s does not need much introduction; it competed worldwide from 1970 to 1975, finishing in second place in the rally constructors' classification for four consecutive seasons from 1972 to 1975. The 124 Abarth achieved two victories in the European rally championship in 1972 and 1975 and was driven by Maurizio Verini, Raffaele Pinto and Markku Alén. In its 1974 and 1975 latest evolution, the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine was capable of delivering 215hp at 7.000 rpm, moved by a 5-speed gearbox. Its very light body, only 935Kg, is equipped with doors in aluminium and rear suspension with independent wheels. Questo video è dedicato alla leggendaria Fiat 124 Sport Spider Abarth Rally che ho avuto il piacere di vedere in azione negli ultimi anni con differenti modelli, sia preparati da gara con specifiche gruppo 4, sia stradali. I filmati sono stati effettuate in cronoscalate per vetture storiche come Bologna-San Luca, Bologna-Raticosa, Alpe del Nevegal e Vernasca Silver Flag. Altro materiale proviene dalle passate dizioni del Rally Legend di San Marino e del Rally Revival Valpantena. Questa iconica leggenda degli anni 70 non ha bisogno di grosse presentazioni, ha gareggiato a livello mondiale dal 1970 al 1975 chiudendo al secondo posto della classifica costruttori rally per quattro stagioni consecutive dal 1972 al 1975. Ha ottenendo due vittorie nel campionato Europeo rally nel 1972 e 1975 ed è stata pilotata da compioni del calibro di Maurizio Verini, Raffaele Pinto e Markku Alén. Nelle sue ultime evoluzioni del 1974 e 1975 il motore da 2.0-Litri, quattro cilindri, era in grado di erogare 215cv a 7.000 giri/min, mosso da un cambio a 5 marce ed una carrozzeria molto leggera, solo 935Kg è dotata di sportelli in alluminio e sospensioni posteriori a ruote indipendenti.
