Merry Christmas, have a 4 minute long sentimental vid 8D
In all seriousness, I had been dying to make a video with these sources due to their shared Christian overtones and thought Christmas would be the best time to make it. I tried to distill the story down to the trio's journey with the baby with scattered hints of their personal battles and plot points. I did my best to not just summarize the source, but emphasize these attributes and give a general feeling to what the film is about. As such, a large portion of the plot and characterization was skipped over. If you have not seen the film yet, I beg you to do so as there is so much great animation and story that I could not fit into this video.

I think I may have commented a year or more ago but this is honestly one of the best AMVs I've seen. The ending gets me every time I watch it, that suspense when it cuts away from the fall to them slowly drifting down as the music comes in with the line about golden strings. Just beautiful. I cry every time I watch this.

Teared up watching this at the Sakuracon AMV contest - it was like being punched in the gut with the feels. Then at the Winners reveal I barely kept it in. Congratulations!! Love this so much

This video is mucho excellente. It got me teary eyed and really captured the movie. Really excellent cuts creating that consistent beat sync and also accenting those heavier beats and complimenting the flow of the lyrics. My favorite moment was at 3:48 at that climax moment where you let the drama hang. Instead of showing us the resolution that the people are safe you start showing a set of daily/casual city scapes of the places they've been and finally make the big reveal on the golden strings lyric was fucking brilliant and gave it more impact. Like wow mang.

The editing at 3:50, that entire beautiful haunting montage... god that hit hard. I even went back to the original movie wondering if it had the same, but no, I honestly think your version is even more impactful and breathtaking. This is incredible.

thank you! honestly, i find it funny people compliment me on that section cuz when i edited it, i was so close to finishing my brain was just on autopilot compared to other sections that i planned out more fully. but it's always great to hear people's reactions to my vids thank you so much! ;3;

Haven't seen this movie and your video still communicated the tones and thematic messages perfectly. I actually stopped the video halfway through cuz now I wanna watch this and don't want to spoil, really great work.

Pokemon, Yugioh, Cardcaptor Sakura, , Sailor Moon, Gash Bell, these were my introductions to anime before I even knew what anime was. So many more shows to watch from the past and in the current era. People say anime reaches for the sky. But that implies it has a limit.

This is such a good AMV, I usually just have this tab open and refresh it if I ever need a pick-me-up. Plus it's pretty amazing that you turned a somewhat silly movie into a mostly dramatic video. Congrats on the win btw.

Yesterday i watched this AMV for the first time. I knew it existed for years now. But i didn't want to watch it to not taint my own idea to Tokyo Godfathers. So now that i've watched it ... yeah, it's great! Just so well done. Very heartfelt editing. Great Anime and Song match. It certainly deserves the praise it gets. Good job!

I watched this at the AMV contest at AX2017. I don't know the anime nor the song, but you did this so masterfully, both my friend and I (who are hugely critical of AMVs) were tearing up at this. When they announced the winners and this did not win in it's category, we were both heartbroken. This deserves so many more views and more appreciation than it is getting. This was so beautiful. Thank you for making this work of art.
