My older brother used to have one with this engine in red, funnily enough his one was also made in 2009. All I can say, is that it's a great little supermini. Considering the engine only has 8 valves, it's quicker than you'd expect. For 77 bhp, it pulls quite well up to 3rd gear. The engine, in typical Italian fashion, has a nice exhaust note. Parking is extremely easy and I find that the City steering isn't needed at all, unless your arms are the size of twix bars. Best of all, it's comfortable and is fun to drive. If you're watching this video and you're after your first car, I can easily recommend for you to get a Grande Punto. They had a wide range of engines and I'm sure you'll find one just for you.

Can confirm, I bought mine last year, fun car to drive around. Did pay a little too much for it, but after all the things considered? No regrets lol

I have the fiat punto evo for almost 3 years now. The car is surprisingly sporty for its small engine. If you get used to it you can even do really fast corners and 90 degree drifting. The engine can Rev up to 6000 without a problem. Im driving it like crazy and it seems undestructible. I even used it off-road sometimes and it handles very well. My speed record is 183km/h or 113mp/h. Only from 0 - 60 it's a bit slow wird 13 seconds more or less.

Eu moro no Brasil Eu tenho um punto já consegui colocar 200 km nele o motor permite acelerar em alta rotação,por anda muito exigindo do motor em 4 marcha ele fica mais esperto. O meu 1.4 aspirado 8 válvulas

@@tomtricks6838 I used a technique called "Trail Braking". There should be some good videos on KZfaq with detailed explanations, but be careful. The Punto has a pretty high center of gravity. Having some quality tires also helped a lot. I used pirelli summer tires but also here watch out when the road is wet.

I have the same car. I found that it is also (surprisingly) good for offroad, mostly because it's lightweight vehicle. With good tires, you can go through deep mud.

My only complaint would be it's missing a 6th gear. driving 100km/h at about 3000rpm and 120km/h at 4000rpm it's pretty loud

Die Abrollgeräusche bei dem Auto sind im Innenraum lauter hörbar als der Motor.

I have a question Im living in Germany since I am not sure which car should I buy as starter? I have finally decided myself for Fiat are the parts of the car are not expensive? If the car broke down at some part?

@@farhadasifi6094 Karosserieteile sind sehr günstig. Wenn du im Jahr immer wieder den Wagen pflegst und nicht bis zu den 60, 90, 120 tsd km Inspektionen wartest kostet die auch nicht so viel. Aber es kann sein, dass er Öl frisst, also schaue regelmäßig nach dem ölstand und wechsle es nach Herstellerangaben.

@@realcnstudios Okay danke dir, Fiat Modell 2009 teilen sind doch hier zu finden? Ein Check up würde ich so wieso zwei mal im Jahr machen, da das mein erstes Auto wäre bin mir nicht so sicher welches Auto von welcher ich mir kaufen soll.

@@farhadasifi6094 Teile müsste es genug geben. Das Auto wurde sehr oft verkauft. Meiner ist von 2010 mit 1.4L 77ps. Als erstes Auto ist es perfekt um Erfahrungen zu sammeln und es ist nicht sooo schlimm, wenn Mal ein Kratzer rein kommt. Er ist sehr pflegeleicht.

Have same model and same engine. Little bit slow when i drive with 4 passengers in but at the end love her a lot. I can see a Red light on your dashboard. What was the problem??

That's the door light, one of the doors is still open. But yeah, got an '07 Active Sport with the same engine, love her when I drive her alone, but with a couple of passenger it does feel like it's underpowered, too bad this engine can't be tuned

Me too with 60hp Punto But you just need to rev higher gears, change them at 3500 or 4000 rpm for exemple

Na verdade, acho que até 2010 que era o 1.8 8v da GM, depois de 2010 sim passou a ser 1.8 16v, mas não dá GM, e sim o E-torque. O 1.6 16v também é E-torque.

Ужасно высокие обороты двигателя на пятой передаче. Этот шум насскорости 100км/ч очень неприятный. Эта машина не для загородных поездок.
