Quick vid on how I repaired my fiat stilo computer , it had numerous errors until the car wouldn't start any more,
Seat belt warning
Airbag Fault
Engine Fault
Engine very rough
car wouldn't idle
car wouldn't accelerate
and more

PS im not a mechanic or electrician just sharing how I got my car to run 100 percent and hope this helps some ,

thank you very much for this briljant solution. My wife just got home with all the instrument panel lights flashing and finally all lights went out ... found some sites with different solutions but decided to follow your video and check the contacts on the computer first and presto after 10 minutes my car was working perfectly !

Thank you so much for this video. Looking at a high mileage Stilo as a secondary vehicle. The price is a give away and I have always loved Fiat's. I am aware of most of the potential problems so it was good to know that there are some DIY solutions.

Thanks very much, this may not work on every car but it is a cheap and easy thing to try and did work on our car. We also moved the ECU away from the engine, I think the ECU was probably made cheaply and heat and vibration have taken their toll, hopefully extra solder and moving it will increase it's life

I couldn't really see what pin was failing but went over all 128 of them (with the help of my clever neighbor Simon) and maybe it made the difference. I went for a ride and did not have the "engine failure" this time which hasn't happened in awhile so. Thanks a lot and fingers crossed. Peace bro.

You said that those pins sunked into the Mainboard. Have you lifted them up, or have you realy just solderd those pins?

hi,i already checked 2,but was not damaged..my question is ..that plastic will not melt ?? ..i put it there back i close and i drive already for 2 hr ..i checked and look ok,but i still ask coz i am afraid a bit !

Meni je odvojen od motora.Stilo 1.6.Imam isti error ,ali nisam otvarao nikad komp.Imam neki rezervni pa cu da probam na njemu,pa sta bude :)

Yeah, there's no point fixing the ECU just to put it back on top of the engine itself. Some people have moved the ECU into the fuse box

Hi Dracco121 i have a fiat stilo 1.6 active sport,im not getting any warnings on the dash. my problem is that the car will start and drive ok,then out of the blue it will just cut out. ive replaced the plugs this morning,im just wondering if my ecu has any dropped pins and could the cutting out be related to what you are showing in your video. when it cuts out and i try to start the car i get a message on the dash check vehicle protection system..then the immobiliser light stays on. after about 20 minutes i can start the car then it will drive for maybe 5 minutes or hours before it happens again..any ideas please. @@gvmllr injector problems are common in 1.6 Stilos. However, when mine had injector problem it would sometimes only give p0638 but never cut out. Random cut out due to other main sensors is also possible (MAP, crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor). If the engine cuts out without the key to "OFF" it will trigger multiple warning lights and won't let you start it for a bit (car security). Cycling the key 3 times will let you start it though. If you really decrypt the system and understand how it works, although bizarre, you will always make sense of what is going wrong.

my stilo is the same model, and shows all the time "airbag error" always, and sometimes "engine fault" and the motor is amazing shape, if i do this step like you maid, perhaps will disapear?

For the "airbag error". You should check cable connections under front seats, back cabinet and side panels. Theres is also, somekind of sensor, in front seats. That could be faulty also, but they are hard to change.

they could have put it up in the compartment and not on the engine directly. there are many other places that could keep it dry. ..
