Im from Serbia and of course I feel bad because of the lost game, but we are a small country and this success is very meaningfull here. Respect for USA team, they play unbeliveable, love from Serbia to everyone!

+SoloSynQ Yeah, i know right! I'm a big fan of the NBA, i watch games when I can, but also i support Serbian teams which are pretty succesful in Euroleague. Many players go from Serbian teams (Crvena zvezda, Partizan) to NBA and I really enjoy watching them. Like Marjanovic, Bijelica, etc. This game was like a holiday to me even with a loss, European and American basketball are just two types of basketball and we are not good enough for that. But being behind the most 'basketball-ish' country in the world, I think that's a big thing by itself.

I don't think it's nice to call Serbian team junk. I mean they reached the finals,won many hard matches against tough opponents but they aren't that physically strong and talented as USA players are and surely aren't junk. USA is out of this world in basketball... Greetings from Croatia.

The Serbian plays beautiful team work, they just lack in individual strength. Team USA is lucky to have Kyrie and Harden who had craftsmanship talent. Basketball is not just a show of physical strength tho.

Do not lie, the Spurs alone could have beaten this team. Phil Jackson's triangle offense could have beaten this team with any of his championship Bull and Laker teams. Serbians act as if an amazing basketball IQ will win over any other brand of basketball. Maybe so, but, I have yet to see a defeat based on better basketball IQ on one side of the court. You could argue that the Spurs are your example but come on, the Heat were a mess this year in the finals. And so I say, physicality is still the biggest piece to winning games.

i'l give it to serbia, for a tiny country, you can hoop pretty well but don't act like we won because we're a big country. china, india, russia are all our size or much bigger, and all of those countries suck at basketball.USA sent their B team, you wouldn't even wanna know how bad it would be if lebron james, chris paul, kevin durant, paul george (had he been healthy), dwight howard, russell westbrook. i mean, our team was still good, but miles plumlee, kenneth faried, kyle korver, and klay thompson aren't our best forwards and chris paul is a point guard than kyrie, rose, harden, or steph in my book.

Simply put: two of the best basketball nations in the world of all time (if we refer to Serbia as successor of Yugoslavia) met again in the finals of big competition. The Usa were better especially in 3 pointers and physical strength, while Serbia showed some great basketball too. Saying that Serbia is bad at basketball is similar to saying that Argentina is bad at football, both things are nonsense. Everybody knows that Serbia is great in basketball, only haters do not want to say it. The Usa are the best realistically, and Serbia is the second best. That's it.

This is certainly one of Team USA's best efforts on the international stage. Kyrie and DeMarcus emerged here as two of the greatest players of all-time. The Serbs are tough as nails and brought out the very best in the Americans. Respect Serbian hoops and love the Croats, and long for the days of Yugoslavia basketball when they routinely beat the Russians and supplied so many greats to the NBA. Long live basketball!

This team was dominant (to say the least), and the 2016 squad is even better. Young guys like Kyrie, Klay, Cousins have grown into huge stars. Upgraded with Durant, PG, Jimmy, Melo and Green. Lost Curry (who never found his international play) and Davis (Don't really need him at all). You got a hungry Lowry coming off the bench (instead of a hobbled Rose), the most athletic big man on the planet (Jordan) and Barnes/Derozan playing cheerleader. Wow

Its sad that other countries have such a negative outlook on America who has defended not only ourselves but many other nations from terrorism throughout the years. This was practically USA dream team. Davis, Curry and Harden were all selected as top 5 players of this season. Curry was MVP of the NBA. The only one that was missing was Lebron James. This team USA would trash any NBA team by 20 points so Serbia actually didn't look so bad at all.

+Roman Abramovic Not really, the players you mentioned were not up to all star quality until this season. The FIBA tournament was held before Golden States championship run meaning that Curry, and Thompson haven't broken out yet. DRose had been plagued with injuries beforehand, and only Harden, Irving, and Davis have had experience playing at all star level.

It would also be unfair for other teams to beat NBA players. It's a huge organization, with so many coaches working with players on every aspect of the game. NBA is the only place where this game improves and evolves. So many people will say a bunch of things like International style or European old school etc.. but there are no results! That simple. It IS America and it IS a show for masses, but at the end.. ones who loves this game knows where and how it's being played.
