Shift and close doesnt make a lot of sense in europe since the lanes are way smaller.. creating from the slot is borderline impossible from U18 and up so I‘d rather deny the pass 1 spot away

This is bad😮 This does exactly nothing to prevent the passing. Also the help defense will loose their opponent in a slit second, when the off drives.

The point of this defends is not about preventing passing but to stop their drive. Is not easy to defence a pro team or a team with good passing but you can stop their drive and their shot if you are fast enough to cover each other.
