Great! you started also to introduce the Home Center 3!! I've learned a lot from your movies of the HC2, but I'm thrilled to see you do a video on my platform the HC3. You asked for ideas: I really like to see a movie regarding how to install the alarm in a combination of the different profiles. Thx again for all the effort.

Thanks for your comments. I will shortly do an alarm video showing how to create the different modes. Hopefully as soon as I finish my current project workloads

Great video! What are your opinions on the HC3 Lite vs HC3 vs Athom Homey? I'm keen on home automation that also supports voice commands with Google Assistant to trigger scenes. Also, what is the recommended approach to backup and recovery for the automations setup in HC?

hi thanks. I have no idea about the athom homey as i concentrate on the fibaro hc only so apologies. Regards backups they can be done on thge fibaro cloud services and also you can create local backups too. The tools to transfer them to a new HC is there too. (a bit buggy at the moment :( ...) HC supports both both google and alexa natively but i prefer to use the skaro as its quicker to respond and increases functionality of the hc too. Thanks

Great video! Are there advantages for people to upgrade from the HC2 to the HC3 (once updates are more complete)?

Hi, very fair question. Right now I would say that if your system is relatively small and stable then no need to upgrade. I would only recommend upgrading if you have say around 75 odd devices and 50 odd scenes then would recommend the upgrade. The hc3 is a faster and more powerful unit and you will notice difference.

Great Intro. Is there a way to connect KNX devices to HC3 via a KNX IP router. Seems like the gateway can handle the processing easily. Wondering if there was a driver available...

Early days yet, but if there is an API for KNX that works through IP then it can work right now. Even the HC2 can send commands over IP. I'm not familiar with KNX so cannot expand further. Thanks

Nice video can you explain how to add an bridge not like a hue bridge wich is supported i guess. But like a Ikea Trådfri bridge for lighting but ikea also has blinds etc. Maybe worth to mention with a little “how to” i personally like it if you would

Hi, sorry for late reply - didnt get the alert. The skaro bridge is compatible with the HC3 so adding that will enable the voice side of things. However not familiar with the ikea ramge at the moment.

If you have a look at the fibaro forum for now I'm sure there is. It will depend on which brand you have.

One question, when I try to update the software it is saying error 500 internal server error... i am using HC3 lite

Im getting same on different HC at the moment. All i can think of is that the Fibaro Servers are offline. Just wait and try again later.

so far I prefer HC2.

The HC2 is still a capable unit and is good for smaller installs, however the HC3 is a lot faster, more powerful and lot easier to use both on Web and app. However we all have our personal opinions.

@@YorkshireAutomation yes i agree but, but what I’ve been reading in the forums, users of hc3, are disappointed, many have returned to HC2, the VD don’t work, the LUA programming is different ... I wait for your videos, I won’t risk it and I will keep hc2 for While.

@@MiguelSantos-js8sn Yes its different but better! As an installer I've learnt it and its great! I think they have moved away from being a DIY product. However saying that the block scene programming is actually a lot easier and better than HC2. VD has been replaced by QuickApps and I admit I'm still learning but so far they are more powerful than VD. I will be doing more videos soon, but just finishing off a few smart installs at the moment, all of which are HC3
