So as you know, our family recently installed a brand new pool in our backyard. It took us about 4 1/2 weeks from start to finish. I just thought I would share a few things that I learned along the way that I think would be helpful for you and your family as you were making your decisions about how to set things up.

I mis-stated one thing in this video. When I was talking about the tent covering the first section of the pool on blistering hot days, I should’ve mentioned that the tent was 13 x 13 instead of 10 x 10 and we do have to stretch the tent out a little bit in order to get the legs to fit there. It’s definitely wider than 10 feet at that point.

Question for you… with your irrigation system, did you have the irrigation company come out first to remove or move lines/heads or did you wait until everything was completed with the pool before having them come out and fix what was messed up?
@a5703
@a5703 2 жыл бұрын
@@gamer2.0yeet12 No, I knew that the backhoe and other heavy equipment were going to destroy everything anyway so I just let them do it as they needed to. Once the pool was put in we had completely new irrigation lines and drip lines placed around the pool. It worked out just fine that way. I would recommend that as opposed to doing a bunch more labor beforehand.

please help......our underground pool is leaking and we cant find the reason ...so after a lot of tries to fix it people told us to use fiberglass ...... is it good and how long it will last......because its too expensive in my country and we are afraid to spend a lot on it and then it break or smthing bad happens to it.
@a5703
@a5703 2 ай бұрын
This is one of the reasons we won with fiberglass. It is extremely thick and almost zero surface maintenance unlike a vinyl pool or even gunnite. I would strongly recommend a fiberglass pool. The only problem I see with fiberglass is that the sizes and shapes are limited. You can go much larger with vinyl or gunnite.

I am in South Carolina and VERY interested in a fiberglass pool. However, the installers around here are giving me conflicting info and don't want to seem to do it. One is telling me the red clay we have is bad for it and our pool will "pop." I've seen so much i for saying this is not true. Another is telling me it's not more cost effective in the long run because tge sun affects the gel coat so we will neednto refinish it at similar pricing to concrete pool refinishing. Did you have these same issues with installera? I am so struggling to find unbiased and non-conflicting information. And your pool is beautiful!

@@a5703 We're looking at the Coronado (and the Bay Isle) right now. Thanks for the videos! What are the benefits of the salt system? Does it cost more or less? Does it make the water taste salty? Thanks!
@a5703
@a5703 3 жыл бұрын
Lauren Parish The salt system is generally less expensive to maintain. They say it is easier on the skin as well. Chlorine and some of the other harsh chemicals that go along with chlorine pools can leave the skin itchy and dry for some. Salt systems typically don’t irritate the eyes and the taste is very mild if it does get in your mouth. I would definitely recommend a salt system.
