Im in the camp of allow all flags. Just because i dont agree with what some countries leadership is doing doesnt mean that the people are products of their leadership. I dont really think its Fide's place to take sides.

Assuming that FIDE is a completely unbiased organisation although it is quite clear that they are not, taking a stance in a complex political matter such as a military invasion is quite unfair. It is quite unfair to Russia(assuming that they aren't invading in a plot with the USA) that we take action against them merely for them being the one on the offensive. This is the modern era, hardly any country invades merely for territorial conquest, Russia was provoked into invading by the western powers and Ukraine that failed to uphold the treaties that it signed. Ever since the 2014 coup in Kiev, the west has had great influence in Ukraine. This invasion is very similar to Germany's invasion of Poland where Poland after the death of Josef Pilsudski committed horrendous crimes in the former territories of Germany that it was occupying while also refusing to hand over Danzig which was over 90% German speaking. This led to them being invaded and ww2 starting. As we can see, these invasions had a lot more depth to them than just a bad guy and a good guy. An organisation like FIDE taking sides like this sets a dangerous precedent, it undermines it's true purpose of bringing all those who love chess together to compete on equal footing regardless of nationality and ideology.

You are simply wrong on the facts, not just once but twice over: Firstly, Nepo did not fly the FIDE flag during his wc match vs Magnus, he flew the CFR flag. Secondly, it was because of WADA doping ban and not because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine - 2021 was 1 year prior to 2022. Please get your facts right before you upload videos in the future. Your extremely weak command of the facts is deeply embarrassing
