Cubans supported African freedom movements. Trained their professionals. Sacrificed cuban lives in freedom wars alongside natives. Did not rob those countries. Did not get anything in return than their appreciation and friendship. Cuba did not exploit those nations or have businesses companies established. Hope other countries would help Cuba in difficult times.

@@jessesnyder5426 Dummy. He didn't rob his people. He saved them from the previous Cuban goverment and the misery that was under it. Cubans under Batista were used by rich American corporations and most of them had nothing. You always see people critisizing communist regimes, but never the US backed fascist dictatorships in latin america, south america, etc. And the reason is that the US doesn't ever talk about that, because they want to make only others look bad, while making themselfes look good. The US and rich corporations hate communism, not because it does a bad thing for the people, but because they want to expand their large companies into more countries so they earn money. That's why they embargo countries like Venezuela and Cuba, it's not because they want to do a good thing for the people, it's because they wanna make that country suffer, so they can again make communism look bad, and so that they destroy the economy and cause unrest in the country. On top of that, the disgusting regime in North Korea makes communism look even worse and ofcourse the imperialists are not gonna say that other communist countries are less opressive, though they're not gonna say that they aren't, but because of all th propaganda that people are fed previously, they're not gonna question that and think that all communist countries ARE the same. (sorry for the long comment)

So many died trying to make it to the promised land of America in make shift rafts. Mao Tse Tung rescued China from a tyrannical government. He turned out to be one of the most oppressive dictators in human history. Similarly, Castro rescued the Cuban people from Batista but turned out to be more oppressive than Batista. Cubans live longer than Americans, have a higher literacy rate, a lower infant mortality rate, they eat mostly organically produced foods grown within their towns and cities via organoponic worker owned and gov owned co-ops and they have healthcare for all and strong communities. They are one of a handful of nations that have doubled their economy and added 30% to their population over the last 50 years without using more Co2 per person to do so. What they don't have is lead in their water and a homelessness and opioid addiction epidemic. Not bad Castro, not bad at all.

1. The Soviet Union collapsed and relations didn't get better so that was an obvious U.S. lie that Cuba's relations with The U.S.S.R. was an obstacle. 2. Cuba's troops were in Africa to help liberate countries from imperialism. They fought against Apartheid where as The Evil Empire (U.S.A.) was backing apartheid and committing brutal imperialism against Africa. 3. Human rights violations: sure there were some in Cuba. Most countries have some human rights violations, but the fact that the United States would dare to complain about that when all through-out the 80's (and before obviously) they were backing death squads and brutal dictators that massacred hundreds of thousands to millions of people in Central America for U.S. economic interests. That's like the nazis complaining to jews that there's human rights violations in the ghettos. Means absolutely nothing. R.I.P. Castro: one of the great politicians of the 1900s!

The journalist is a dwarf interviewing a giant. He is not relaxed, he asks boring rigid textbook questions taken from the Anglo American imperialist condescending diplomacy school. Dr Castro answers them with ease and with intelligence.

Castro was wrong about a lot of things. But he was right about others. Capitalism is greed. We need social thinking.

@@Hatrimn All countries are a mixture of capitalism and socialism. Government itself is a form of socialism. The US is more capitalistic than most countries. But that has changed, and will continue to change, as people realize that unbridled capitalism destroys the world.

@@therealzilch It is not unbridled, it is highly regulated. It has not ruined the world, it has helped more people than socialism could ever dream of doing. And it is not going anywhere, Americans love it despite leftist propaganda. This is why Bernie couldn't even compete against creeps like Hilary and Biden, because Americans don't want it. So like I said, if you want socialism, take your pick. Plenty of shitty countries to choose from.

What was taken place in Cuba before the revolution was absolutely pathetic, and Batista should of had his head handed to him, just like what eventually happened.
