Field Dressing A Big Buck On Steep Hillside

From the Archives. Hands haven't gotten dirty this year yet so going through some old videos. This was a Buck I shot with my bow in 2018. He ran down and died on a steep hillside. It took me and my son 4 hours to get him up the hillside to the top.

Congrats, I got a few Hmong buddies that make this dish with raw meat and lime juice? What is it called? Could you make a video on it?

Thanks! I’m not that hardcore lol it’s probably raw deer Laab. I make that too but I eat mine cooked lol

Elk hunters are something else! We complain how tough it is here in the Midwest but it’s nothing compared to elk country. Bucket List!

Your not kidding. My elk this year died on a hill that was about a 30% slope and wedged against a tree. My elk last year ran along the flat bench we were on till he found a hole from the root wad of a fallen tree that he could die in. I had to stand in the hole with him and when I opened him up the hole filled full of blood over the tops of my shoes. I was alone for both.
