In this video we do a field review of the ESEE Laser Strike. We will beat the crap out of it and show it doing normal bushcraft style task.

Good review of what may be the perfect bush craft knife. Its nice to know there is a small fire making kit inside the scales.

Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it. I agree with you on that, it’s my go to knife. I like the others but I always come back to this one. I agree, it’s a great way to make use of the space under the scales. Thanks for watching

Yes they do. You can find a ESEE knife for any purpose. Almost like a golfer picking a club. Thanks for watching

Great channel just found your vids! What do you think of this vs the TOPS BOB or the Esee 4 HM as a companion blade for backpacking in the woods?
@CentralKyBushcraft2 жыл бұрын
Glad to have you aboard! That would be interesting for sure. I've had a TOPS BOB and really liked it, as for the ESEE-4HM I've never had the chance to use one. But due to their size I think both would make a great companion blade for backpacking. Thanks for watching

I’m surprised that it feather sticks so well, did you reprofile it?
@CentralKyBushcraft Жыл бұрын
Yes I did. I re-profile all my ESEE’s to 20 degrees. It greatly improves the cutting capabilities and doesn’t effect edge retention. Thanks for watching

In your opinion, do you prefer the laser strike over the esee 4 for a belt knife? Have a good day. 🇺🇲🔪🔥🌲
@CentralKyBushcraft5 ай бұрын
I’ve never used a ESEE 4 but I do have experience with the PR-4. The PR-4 is a great knife and is best when paired with a small axe/hatchet or tomahawk. The Laser Strike on the other hand is a more robust blade. If I were go into the woods with only a knife I would choose the Laser Strike over the PR-4 every time. One suggestion though, I wouldn’t depend solely on the fire starting items inside the handle. I keep 2 fire tabs inside but removed the ferro rod/magnesium rod and carry them elsewhere. I believe it would be hard to gain access to all of it with wet freezing hands. Thanks for watching
