Night shooting deer: it’s a thing. Whether you like it or not, DEFRA is giving out licences to night-shoot deer and some deer managers are using them. In Lincolnshire, the deer problem is acute, so Luke Butel and Mark Singlehurst from Vale Field & Game are using a night licence to reduce a huge herd of fallow. Plus Luke gives a handy guide to reloading. Game chef José Souto is on a mission to make game meat and venison a family favourite. Ian Hodge talks Turkish - which he prefers out of KOFS and ATA Arms shotguns. David is on the news stump, and James brings you the best hunting videos on KZfaq in Hunting KZfaq. I did a night shoot *on an active airfield* to clear out roe that had got inside the wire. Man, THAT was a controlled shoot.

Türkiye (their insistence on the name change not mine) is not in Europe. It is on the Asian continent apart from a tiny portion across the Bosporus. I know the EU and Eurovision wants to pretend Türkiye and North Africa is in Europe but it isn't. Ian Knows that. That's why he looked so embarrassed saying the Turks are a large European gunmaker. Why are we pretending otherwise other than sponsorship? If it is sponsorship, let us know so we can decide whether to subscribe or not. Just have a strapline saying this is not factually correct but the guns are good and come from Asia?

Thanks, Colin. It's very different country in the interior. Istanbul is more of a crossroads, partly Asian and partly European. Sorry we didn't make it clear. We did give it a 'paid content' tag, and I was more interested in the gunmaking than the geography when I was chatting to Ian. / Charlie

@@fieldsportstv it is a very different country from the EU nations it borders. It should never be given an European tag because, due to its flagrant human rights abuses, will never be qualified for the European Union as a country. Türkiye can't be part of Europe because of geography. Obviously being European built rather than Asian or Middle Eastern has a cache to the manufacturer. Money talks. Very disappointing.

Under licence you can use gen 2 and 3 night vision, you cannot use thermal like one of these are 😬
