How the Government approved way to get planning permission to live on your own land in the UK works and how to do it! This is a the basics of what to do to get planming permission to live on your own land by following the rules the government wants you too. its not to difficult a process but requires real work to build a farm, but if your dream is to have a farm like me then it wont really be feeling like work. buying a field to live on can be hard work any other way so hopefully this video help you see how i got planning permission to live offgrid in the uk

Brilliant video, very informative. I've noticed that woodland is quite a bit cheaper than agricultural land. Do you think there's a case to buy woodland, then try to shift it's usage towards more agricultural uses, e.g. producing mushrooms and berries, or maybe introducing goats to curtail bushy undergrowth for the health of woodland? My thinking is that at some point you could probably make a case to formally reclassify the land as mixed woodland/agricultural, and it would then benefit from all the Agricultural Permitted Development Rights that you've outlined here.

U get forestry right with woodland, its easier to build a barn but harder to build a house

Great vid ok we buy 2.5 or 1 hectare. But can we rent land thats not joining ours, i only ask cos a friend wants to sell us 2.5 a but the other 10 will be down the road about 5 miles away... Cheers brilliant info buddy..

I think as long as it remains for agricultural use for 10 years total its fine

Hello, I hope you don’t mind me asking here…..I have 30.36 acres in the uk. I have got the permission to build a barn, polytunnel and farm track. Have moved onto the land in a static whilst I build but have received email from the planners stating I am in breach of planning by doing so. Is this correct?

If u have registered other address for council tax they can't prove ur living there as u technically live somewhere else, u are just there on the odd occasion over nite to help speed the building process up
