I wish EA employed you to spearhead an operation to fix career mode. You are very aware of the many issues that career mode is suffering from and you know how to fix them. My guess is they don’t care about career mode as FUT brings in all the money through micro-transactions. Keep up the good work Undercover Nerd, I’m excited to see your channel grow 👍

This is the 1st video of yours I've seen, and it's exactly what I wasn't able to find in the other dozen videos on Fifa 18. All the hard work and long hours putting the video together are very much appreciated good sir! The tip about training the secondary attributes is f^@$!ng golden. This is something that if I would have found 2 seasons in, I might have restarted my career. i think the best type of youth players are physically strong ones, their physical attributes are usually decent when scouted, mid 60s to potentially low 80s, with good stamina, which i think most of the other types hugely lack (maybe get the mid 70s at full potential) and if they dont grow physically in the future, they'll gain the technical stats and get to their potential easy via training, and are normally CB or CM/CF.

Yeah I have 2 CMs in my YSL. One, from Czech Republic, potential to be special and has really good long shots in addition to passing. The other, from Canada, exciting prospect, has good dribbling.

Once again, really impressed with the effort put into this video. You deserve way more subs man. Quick question though...let’s say I have a CB come out of my youth academy with potential between 80-94 and a current rating of 53. You say to train but stop at 60ish. With that player, given his primary attributes are defending (as he’s a CB), should I train his shooting and passing stats, for example, until he’s 60 rated? Hopefully that makes sense

You can train his primary up to around 60ish so you can work out what type of rating the player has, 'Showing great potential, Exiting prospect or Potential to be special' but then once he is at 60-63 only train his secondary such as penalties, crossing etc and let the game automatically add his primary as this will cover his physical stats later on down the line! :)

Imagine if FIFA 19 had a Connected Career mode similar to Madden. Und3rcov3r Nerd + BamaStriker9 + Barfieboy + Docks + Chesnoid all in one career mode would be INSANE.

If a regen is 1star skill move and 1star weak foot we would want to save the game right? But is saving the game the same as how we usually save it or is the different

Hey UC Nerd, this was a great video. I love Career mode and FIFA but didn't know this whole FIFA Career mode community existed until recently. I wanted to make sure I understood cause you kinda went back and forth on different things and it got confusing: 1. Don't train players primary attributes after 60-63, rather train the secondary attributes that you want them to have, then let their natural development take them to their full potential on their primary attributes? 2. Physically Strong: CB's & ST's Technically Gifted: CM's Wingers: For their actual position Playmakers and Defensive Minded: Do not use Is that correct?

Make a video when you glitch a player potential and find out if they fulfil that potential in future. Like glitch a player potential and has potential to be special and find out if they are like 90 rated please.

What’s the difference over traditional goalkeeping and acrobatic for me I feel like acrobatic get a higher chance of getting better skill moves because I had a couple shooting keepers with 3 Star skills

Hey I trained a young goalkeeper (aged 16) to 61 overall, and now he’s aged 18, but doesn’t show “showing great potential”, “an exciting prospect”, or “has potential to be special”. Please help if anyone knows the problem. Thanks

So if one of my youth players has a potential of 90-94, I should only train him to about the early 60s and his physical stats will start to go up with games played??

I got 6'7 Italian CB in a Schalke and he is 75,an Australian playmaker LM 88 Sprint Speed 99 Dribling 5 star skill moves and he is 83 with 123m relase clause thanks so much 💖💖💖😂👌

I've got a 15 year old goal keeper in my academy that is rated like 72 overall. What do I do?? I can't train him in long passing or slide tackles like I'd like to. I hope he's not a complete waste, because he's better than my back up keeper and not even old enough to promote to the first team!!

Hey +Und3rcov3r Nerd, I need your help mate. Im deep in a Player CM, he is around 94 in rating. I want a move away but no one bids, no matter how many times I sim. Maybe because he is expensive. I tried the CW method you did a video on, but it doesnt seem to work on Player CM the way it works on manager CM. Is there anything I can do or am I destined to forever play in La Liga in this save?

How does the growth of a player is affected if you mod change it's position? Does the primary growth occur according to their previous position or the nature of growth changes?

Defensive minded players are hilarious - usually 6'2 up to 6'6 and they'll have awful strength, but they'll often end up with 99 heading 🤐 I usually look at playmakers or technically gifted players for their mentals, although I will look for physically strong engine types with orange reactions at least. I just wish even playmakers wouldn't struggle to hit 60 composure... Oh I almost forgot. I found your remark on attacker height strange as I tend to look at them for their relative strength at lower heights. You can find 5'5 attackers who'll be stronger than 6'6 defensive minded RBs lmao. That and the fact they can have reactions and composure similar to values found on playmakers/TG players makes them pretty appealing to me. There's no other way to find stocky powerful types unless you get the shortest possible physically strong fullbacks or CDMs.

Regens are often more powerful to begin with, especially high rated ones :)

Do you have to play your youth players for them to grow, or will they reach their potential even if they’re sitting on the bench?

They will get there or there abouts if you don't use them, but they won't exceed their potential and it can take a little longer to reach potential (usually about a season more)

Train them to 60-63 and then after that if you want to train them make sure you don't train their primary attributes! :)

My father is Turkish so I am actually Turkish so I did my local teams RTG but I was born and raised in France, Nancy so I did their RTG and because I live near Farnworth which is very close to Manchester I did a ManU career which was pretty boring tbh plus I did Cambridge United, Forest Green and Mansfield Town RTGs for no reason.

Not much. A good example is Cutzy in his YSL. He had a RB with perfect stats for a winger/striker, and always performed good even when playing up field

Plankman 00 it is 3 I’ve played a lot of career mode and noticed that if someone like Adrien Rabiot who has an 86 potential he can get up to 89 and no higher same with Alexander Arnold he has 87 potential I got him to a 90

Fantastic video. Since I swap between a centralized 4-4-2 diamond and a 4-3-1-2. I find myself only going for a Physically Strong and Goalkeeper archetypes as using those two searches you can fill every position in a diamond and 4-3-1-2. Then there's the fact that they are actually usable at 60 OVR on higher difficulty's due to the fact that physicality and pace has been busted on Fifa for years. So much so you can get away playing with a 60ovr physically strong as my 62OVR 6'7 CB has like 74 in acc,sprint and strength with jumping being around a 80. That being said the system needs to be revised. Its bullocks how you can't train for speed and strength... Etc. It would be naive to think that players like CR7 and Robben didn't do any speed training in their career.

good question, as the career mode hasn't changed for so many years i figured if in FIFA 19 if nothing changes people can go into it with some knowledge before hand plus if people know i exist before FIFA 19 then when i drop New Tutorials people are more likely to find them so they can hopefully help them straight away in FIFA 19! :)
