So, FIFA 18 or PES 2018 better Goalkeepers?

The biggest thing PES keepers have over FIFA is that they can react to a lot more situations. FIFA keepers dive, then have to get back up, and then have to dive again. PES keepers, as you see in the vid, can dive, then halfway through getting up dive again to grab a fumbled ball. It's amazing just how many animations the PES team has put into the game.

WHY PES18 IS BETTER?? 1) @5:27: Cech's breath can be seen like in real life, deflects and recover WHILE LOOKING at the ball + giving instruction to defenders with EMOTIONS!! 2) @6:40: I never seen FIFA keepers holding the ball in ONE hand while running, PES have more variety in animations. 3) @6:47: I don't want to say much look how this keeper track back vs FIFA keeper tracking back... 4) @7:13: Everyone looks at the ball, and when smothered the keeper looks at the player he wants to pass to.. (to where the cursor is). 5) @7:27: Look at how Buffon safe the ball cleanly with composure and he runs with two hands swinging unlike FIFA hands not moving at all like robots.. Buffon even looks at the opposition player(CR7) that come to disturb him..NICE 6) @7:42: I never seen FIFA keepers save like that, they like to dive even though you shoot near their feet LOL that's why it's easier to score in FIFA.. 7) @7:46: If this were to happen in FIFA, the keeper confirm will push the ball towards the opponent OR they'll sloppily fumble and make mistakes that led to a goal. Just watch how Oblak collect the ball swiftly without mistakes. 8) 8:30: just look at how de Gea save the freaking ball!! So awesome and realistic!! PES is definitely better. PROVE ME WRONG WITH TIME STAMPS I CHALLENGE YOU FIFA FANBOYS.

As a PES fan I hated goalies last year, but Konami massively stepped up and FIFA's keepers seemed to have gotten worse for some reason

PES is good to me. The animation has changed on 2018 and their reactions to saves and more is good and authentic to me.

I love both games . I buy them both each year so I can honestly say fifa gameplay is so robotic and emotionless. Pes wins there . But fifa kills it in terms of presentation . I personally prefer the gameplay tho, but I wouldn’t mind having both good presentation and gameplay on point. Pes is getting there tho

I have played both consistently since release, and I have to say PES goalkeepers really do it for me, the amount of different saves and movements they do for each shot and goal, really makes evert single attack and shot/goal feel different every time, I am pleasently surprised by this. FIFAs goalkeeping infuriates me, it is the same couple of dives every single damn time when 1 on 1 and slotting it into either corner, I love fifas dexterity in the fact of playing all round the world, and the lighting to cater for that part of the world, very impressive and immersive, but this immersion is ruined once the GK make the same 2 dives every time, every goal feels similar to the last, whereas on PES due to the vast amount of different ways the keeper dives, doesn't dive, sticks a leg out, sticks a hand out etc, I really feel like every attack was much different to the last, especially when slotting it into bottom corner and the keeper tried damn hard to stretch for the save misses it and stays on the ground deflated in the fact of letting a goal in, PES goalkeeping truely is tremendous this year, well done Konami on that one. Before any Fifa fanboys start shouting PES fanboy at me, if anyone knows my name, you will know i am strongly realted to FIFA from my streaming days, I am a fifa fan, and continue to be so for the licensing alone, what I have written above, is true, unbiased and an honest review on my opinion of the goalkeeping in the 2 different series.

Fifa always sales better, cause kids never criticize the quality, they always get fooled by the hype. Btw by "kid" I mean the thinking not the "age" and also pes did many things wrong in the past and fixed it later but look at fifa 18, can you even differentiate it from fifa 17? They have even downgraded it with removing volumetric lighting effects, but kids are kids...

In therms of actual gameplay, I prefer FIFA keepers all the way. Looks like PES keepers have just a few animations and whey they are about to land they stop moving towards the direction they jump at. Just like the gravity went up 200% and they automatically fall on the ground

FIFA is trying to be too realistic in all games. Some very small details make it a slightly bit better than last year. But i think that PES is the winner here.

Ok, I admit I am a FIFA fan, but PES is better. The animations may be better but the actual gameplay and stuff is not that good, Not many people during a FIFA or PES game take much attention of the faces or the reactions. They look at the gameplay and see if it is good. FIFA is better generally!

Eu achei o movimento dos goleiros do Pes meio robóticos, eles quase não mexem a cabeça, parece que estão com torcicolo. E a agilidade com que mudam o posicionamento do corpo, eles dão pequenos saltos para mudarem a direção do corpo, o que não é natural.

Having played both, I do prefer FIFA a little bit more. Not because I'm a fanboy or anything but simply because for everything that PES does better than FIFA, it does other things so much worse. The goalkeepers in PES are OK but not brilliant, whereas in FIFA they are appalling in every way, but I didn't feel a sufficient enough improvement to change my mind. I also found PES quite enjoyable to play once I'd got used to it, but again not so much that I felt like changing to PES permanently. The licensing thing did irritate me and since FIFA now has UEFA licences that's a mark against PES, but it is ignorable and fixable with mods. Having said all that, the commentators in PES are terrible. I know you can play with them muted but occasionally I like to hear the commentators and the guy in the PES games quite frankly is a worse commentator than Michael Owen is in real life. Also, it genuinely blows my mind that people think the PES likenesses in any way resemble the real life players. Adam Lallana looks like an Asian dwarf that's been stretched out on a rack and the animations are just so off putting whenever you try to do a celebration. The other comments on this video are gushing over how the players eyes follow that games and look organic, but that's only obvious when you zoom in on the replays, which also pissed me off because the game only gives about 5 milliseconds before the replay stops which is basically useless, and I honestly don't give a shit about that sort of thing. Yes, FIFA looks like a group of waxwork dummies, but at least they resemble the players. PES looks like a badly rendered CGI film grafted onto footage of a real game of football. If you're already playing PES, that's fine and I don't think any less of you, but if you play FIFA it's not a good enough improvement to warrant swapping them. Honestly, this is a bit of a pointless discussion because, a little bit like with Messi and Ronaldo, it depends more on what you're looking for than how good they actually are. If you want something that looks good and shouts about it from the rooftops, you have an option, if you want something that isn't as good at certain things but is a better overall package then you have the other. I just happen to not really care, I just want to play a video game.
