I noticed the same thing. I prefer the gameplay like this. Fast like FIFA 21 but a much more balanced game in general where nearly every type of player is viable.

The forward runs custom tactic absolutely stinks for me, when I put it on none of my players make any sort of forward run, even when on get in behind, I now play fast build up play + direct passing and it's so much better for me
