All the people who commented saying the panda is rubbish or whatever, clearly don't know anything. People need to get the idea that it's not 'just a fiat' or 'it's just a panda', it is an amazing handling car with plenty of power considering it weighs less than a tonne. If you've never driven one, drive one. It will surprise you and make you giggle because it's sooo good. Do NOT say anything negative about it, if you haven't driven it.

I've had a Panda 100HP for the last 5 years... won't be swapping it for anything else!

Owned a Panda 100HP and now I have the Twingo GT. Panda has more space, more aggressive (better) looks and a better engine sound. High revs are just lovely. Twingo is easy to remap due to the turbo. 125HP/205Nm without any problems, so it is the nimble sporty one. Feels and acts as a lightweight with some small but smart unexpected features on board. Slightly better equipped as well, with light and rain sensor standard.

Wrong Twingo! The 133 is where its at! Do love the Panda though, oozes personality.

Interesting that the Panda was faster on a slightly more wet track. I'd like to think that it's down to the chassis. Great car.

This video is about 13 years old now, and just bought a 100HP for fun. And fun it still is! I couldn’t believe how much fun it is. The Renault is forgotten by now, the Panda is becoming a cult-car. It’s a pocket-rocket, with a proper 4-cilinder (!) 16V growling engine. Mine is a 2007 car, and I’m surprised by the quality (and that said by a GT3-owner!). Everything works! Only the drivers seat is in a bad shape. NA-engines are history, so I wanted to have one, before extinction. Could also have been a Twingo RS, but the Fiat Panda 100HP has ‘fleur the boeuf’ :) It drives like a baby-Porsche GT3!

People in the UK use FIAT as an acronym for "Fix It Again Tomorrow" however it is worth bearing in mind that Renault's showing in the JD Power survey is abysmal at present and Fiat is doing quite well. Not only that, but the Panda is one of Fiat's most reliable models. If you want a reliable car you should certainly not bet on a Renault.

a straight engine with the same HP as the turbo will mostly win against the turbo. Due the fact it never needs to spool up the turbo

I've had many Pandas from a 1986 "5 speed" 1000 "super" to a 2009 1.4 8v ECO, to a 2014 0.9 Bi-turbo to a 4x4 varient of the same. The Turbo engine will bang out at LEAST 110hp in a reliable form(mild chipping), in a stock format(eco "off") it will give many big car drivers a shock(torque is awesome, but severly limited as stock). Suspension is great, but "bi-turbos" like to "torque steer" and "camber chase" due to large torque/wide tyres vs low weight! Great cars! ;)

@rhysfoley09 While Fiat don't produce a 133 bhp Panda, they do produce a 133bhp 500, based on the same platform with the same engine. The Fiat 500 Abarth. Michael Schumacher owns one :) Top Gear also did a comparison of the Twingo 133 and the 500 Abarth, the 500 Abarth was faster and more economical.

its a twinge GT...GT! Grand tour, on a long highway journey twingo will be much more comfortable than the panda...

Either way, some people prefer naturally aspirated engines.

@SpeedingStudent try sticking a busa bike engine in a renault twingo and you definitely have a proper power to weight ratio there, twice the power, twice the fun.

The point is if Fiat made a 133bhp Panda it'd be better than the twingo cup, and they practicly have already it's just got a different body. Also I'd consider the extra £1000 worth it.

Twingo gt is bettr, 1.2 turbo engine , after remap it reach 160cv like nothing. Also the chassis is better on twingo

I have a Twingo RS cup and a Clio RS cup in Malaysia so what? I like that. My friend had a Fiat Panda 100bhp in Malaysia and It ALWAYS break down. I once had to tow him to the nearest workshop.

Well it does have 133hp. Bolt a turbo on to the Panda and it is the same engine as the 500 Abarth.

Fix it again tony has been doing the rounds since the 1970s, when FIATs rusted and broke down, things have changed a bit since then- i've never had a problem wif em- renaults however, don't get me started (bit like their cars, don't ever start!)

Esteticamente La Twingo sia fuori che dentro non mi dice niente anzi , l'unica cosa che mi attira è il piccolo motore turbo più economia più coppia della 100hp. La panda non è che sia un capolavoro ma è esteticamente meglio riuscita poi ha uno stile più deciso costa meno è più scattante e pesa 80 kg meno,anche la meccanica e il comportamento stradale vanno a favore della torinese, scelgo lei.
