"sabimidori" means "rust green," so I assume the rust is a reference to the red sheen. setouchi is an inland sea in japan, and the setouchi shimanami is a highway that goes around and across that area, connecting the major cities and islands.

Thank you for another year of excellent company and guidance, Mr Figboot! I was really looking forward to this 'best of' year-in-review video. I am very happy to see Santini and Shibui North included; and even more so the Stilo&Stile bunch. These people are full of fantastic, fun (and reasonably priced) ideas --they really are a breath of fresh air (their micarta MZ especially must be my favourite pen to hold --this year and possibly ever!)

same, my workhorse actually, nice for one of the fabulous inks to have that weird super cooperative quality where it takes some unreasonable length of time for it to dry out in a pen and never seems to clog.

There is a cleaning tool from Sailor for Sailor Pens that I already own several years now called Sailor Maintenance Kit. It does look exactly the same and works in the same way as the Schon cleaning tool you showed in this video. I'm really happy to see that it exists for other pens now too, as I really love the way to clean my Sailor pens like this. It's super quick and easy! Thank you!

Based on your review I also bought the Radius Prisma. I was sorely tempted to get the ensso urushi but just couldn't pull the trigger, so I consoled myself with a Piuma in ultem. Love them both, so thanks for the recommendations, the aspirational pens, and for just having an awesome channel in general.

One of these days I’m going to have to pony up for a Monoc. I’m glad to see Ian merited a mention. I got one of the S&S Raids pens and I love it for the iridescent raucous against the frost white and for how well it writes. Your fifty states video was one of my favourites, too. I enjoyed hearing about you travels and having my own memories jogged. I’ll not manage to match your feat, but I hope to see s few more states before I get to that undiscovered country. Eight years! Amazing. Thank you so much for all those wonderfully informative and engaging videos. I wish not just a happy new year but a happy, healthy, and pen-filled 2024!

Happy Holidays! Always love your reviews and favorites. When I consider a new pen, I usually check to see if you have a review. Your top picks are always interesting and often have me lusting after pens I just can't afford. So when you recommend something below $350.00 (preferably under $250.00), I take notice. Your reviews are thorough, and you always give reasons why you like or dislike a pen. Thanks again, and I look forward to more.

David, Allow me to add my thanks to you for your remarkable reviews, your fascinating stories, and your part in giving a bunch of weirdos who have a penchant anachronistic method of writing and strained fingers a way to be a community. Query: isn’t there point of the video in the Colour Traveler box to allow one to take some ink worth one on one’s travels? I love the Barbasol can. Does it clone the inks? And that Goldspot catalogue is always exciting, but your review took it up s notch this year! That Bukamondo (sp?) is jaw-dropping. It is one of the mist gorgeous things I have ever seen. I’m so glad you have it in your hands now! I can hardly wait for the next video! The contrasting patterns really add to the visual interest and mesmerizing aspect of the pen. Geez. Wow. T
