I was watching an appearance where Floyd spoke on Hernandez and ask the crowd to acknowledge Hernandez as not only a champ but that brotherhood many of them possess in the ring as competitors and warriors

i used to be a mayweather hater, but now i know how smart this guy is, when i watched the early fights, he was an exciting fighter back then,he used to fight actually, he proved to be the best, won everything and now is preparing his retire at 37 making millions taking the less risk of brain damage possible, amazing career of this man

I always separated the man from the skill. I always respected his skill despite what he does outside. I took up boxing and got hit too much and knew I had to study defence. 2 guys I studied fervently - Pernell Whitaker and Floyd. The more I study Floyd, the more I realize he is a fucking genius!

Chicanito and his son came to my old boxing gym months before he passed away to talk to all of us about how much he loved the sport, gave a bunch of advice and talked about his cancer. Really down to earth guy. I remember asking him what it was like being in the ring with floyd and he just chuckled and shook his head. Rip Chicanito!

They tried keep floyd from a title shot. Genaro was the only brave one to step up. He made him earn the belt. RIP to the champ. Floyd never forget the chance Genaro Hernandez gave him. FMJ payed for his funeral to show his respect to the champ. Floyd doesn't get respect for the good things but he's constantly critiqued for his lifestyle.

Just watched Floyds first 17 fights and i must say it was worth it. Just seeing his speed when he was young is amazing especially when you see that he's still one of the fastest in his division even today. Just awesome great fighter

Most adaptable fighter I've ever seen. And I do mean EVER. He really doesn't ever fight the same way. His fight plan is whatever it takes to beat the guy in front of him. He'll brawl if he has to, box if he has to, wrestle if he has to, potshot if he has to, whatever it takes. He's almost impossible to "train for". I think that's what truly separates him. It wasn't his speed of hand, speed of foot, or defense specifically. It wasn't the tangibles. It was his *ring IQ* and ability to adapt, to come up with a gameplan from scratch _on the fly_ and win no matter what.

The replay clearly shows Hernandez stepping on Mayweather’s foot and clearly shows the punches completely miss Mayweather but Larry still says he thinks it should be a knockdown WHILE the evidence is playing in his face. Pretty pathetic.
