Floyd had always been a very good body puncher. These commentators never bothered to do their homework. And that includes Floyds' entire boxing career.

I'm glad that Mayweather's influences finally got Larry Merchant fired from HBO. Larry Merchant has always been a Mayweather Hater. His criticism went from constructive to Hater Nation. The best form of revenge is massive success. Larry Merchant got fired and Floyd Mayweather is still MASSIVELY SUCCESSFUL!

HBO felt stupid when Floyd signed with Showtime and realized Merchant was a big cause of it. They lost Billions. And Mayweather went on to become the highest paid athlete!

Most people seem to forget that Tyson started getting criticism for knocking opponents out and ending fights early. I think Mayweather really gives you your money's worth by extending his fights.

This is precisely what I try to explain to these ignorant casual boxing fans & haters. No one wants to pay for & see a fight only for it to end in one or two rds. I'd rather pay my money to see a fighter beat his opponent over the course of twelve rounds. That's like if Floyd Mayweather or Canelo Alvarez would've knocked the other out in the first round it would've been big for the victorious fighter but as for the fight itself it would of been a huge disappointment being that it was the biggest fight of the year. I guess people need to find anything negative to try & down play Floyd Mayweather's greatness so I guess they choose his power to pick on even though I personally believe it's underrated. *Greetings From The U.K.!*

Most of his fights are not just good performances, they are masterpieces! He's just too good and his legacy is incredible, but it will take time for people to appreciate this boxing genius. Maybe 15-20 years from now people will start to understand the magnitude of his greatness and his place among the very best of all times.

not getting as much commentating as editorializing. i can't remember a telecast where all three of these guys had nothing positive to say about the obviously superior fighter. anything they say positive is in favor of the guy who can't manage 2 win a round. good not hearing Merchant's voice in fights, these days.

Merchant is such a damn hater it is sickening to listen to him, Floyd dominated a highly skilled and highly experienced former Champion that came to fight and not lay down. What more could you ask for when Mayweather totally outclasses a man with far more experience than him and makes it look easy doing it. It's easy for Merchant to talk about a fighter should do this and that but he's not the one in there getting timed with counters or that could run into something he doesn't see and get put to sleep trying to be overly aggressive just to please the crowd. I'm so glad HBO (Hate Bruthas Only) network is out of the boxing business and especially glad Merchant is gone as well as Lampley hating white supremacist tail too.

This is why you can't listen to old folks who swear they know everything. Emmanuel RIP wants Floyd to committ to hitting on the inside to land a big punch. That's terrible advice for a guy like Floyd. Stewards one of those trainers who doesn't really develop your skills. He moreso develops you into his kind of fighter which is why he was only successful with those who thought like him. And it's no surprise only Klitschko had unerring success with him. With everyone else it was a constant battle. Such is life

This guy in the early 90's said that floyd is a great boxer and will not only win a couple championships but is a candidate for the greatest of all time. I think this is before he even became pro. Steward knew floyd since he was like 5 years old in the gym and he knew boxing inside out, but this guy would never defend floyd when those old white casual commentators shitted on floyd, he just sat there followed their lead and even predict his failure every once a while.

Steward was saying that Mayweather doesn't attack like a boxer usually does.. throwing combinations off the jab which is very accurate and the main reason why Mayweather's opponents never could get a rhythm vs him..
