He's always been a very skilled operator but since winning the European title a few years after bouncing back from a loss to Anthony Yigit (a guy he definitely wouldn't lose to now), he's found another level in terms of putting all his abilities together. As you can see he's lightning fast in all departments and has clever punch picking and movement. He'll pose a problem to many with that slick southpaw style.

If Mikey threw this fight, he wouldn't have ben trying so hard to sway the judges in his favor by pumping his gloves after every round as if he was winning the fight. Even when MIkey had Martin on the inside or on the ropes, he couldn't get off, which is usually the first sign that a boxer has lost his reflexes. Mikey did the right thing retiring after this fight - guys like Prograis, Taylor, & other top 140 pounders would have wiped the floor with him.

I agree. He needs to go back down, and take some soft touches to rebuild his confidence. Otherwise he will just be a name punching bag at welterweight. Imagine Mikey vs Ennis or Mikey vs Stanionis. Those would be executions. He'd have a better shot fighting the 135 guys moving up, or maybe even the likes of a guy like Prograis, if he gets his mind right. Anything short of moving down he should retire. He's way too predictable and not strong enough to hurt welters.

En cuanto al Mike.....yo que he seguido toda su carrera no me ha parecido la gran sorpresa. Hace años que Mike consiguió todo (sin tener grandes nombres o grandes guerras pero bueno) y hace tiempo que el Mike no lleva su carrera como antes, como lo normal...... Desde que empezó a hacer parones en el box desde la pelea con el judío usurero lleva sin asentarse tiempo en una categoría, no consigue peleas, peleas, ha acumulado muchísima inactividad y las últimas apariciones en categorías más grandes de su talla se ha visto muy lento y pasadete de volumen..... Esto es fácil......o se centra para disfrutar unos últimos años de carrera, llevarse un par de bolsas y conseguir ser campeón de nuevo o dar una gran pelea con algún nombre importante......o si no es capaz de hacer ese sacrificio ( visto lo visto parace que no) que se dedique a entrenar con su hermano y seguir esa carrera , que dinero para vivir ganó bastante.....o que simplemente cualgue los guantes y ya. Lo que no debe hacer porque es inteligente es manchar su carrera, su buen nombre como boxeador y el de su familia.
