I don't think there's any competition tbh, it's absolutely fantastic and the risk of absolutely destroying yourself on a wall adds a layer of realism to online racing

Beyond just demo racing in general tbh. It's just one of the best put together modern arcade racers period. Racing games have fallen SOOOO far from grace and Wreck Fest is really just a solid, well made game that feels really damn great to drive on. That is more than can be said for 95% of racing games that've come out in the past decade now tbh.

As someone who grew up on destruction derby 2, flatout 1 and 2, test drive: eve of destruction and more, I can safely say wreckfest is truly the crème of the crop. Destructability of cars, racing feel and art design are all on point in this game. The only thing that could make the game better is more cars and more tracks which are already great as is

90% of all alex's crashes are because he pushes the bus into the limits of touching the walls in the corners and actually clips them because he has a plow on his bus lol

The bus is not exactly light on its wheels, it's not the easiest to drive The Step Van was definitely the strongest

I should have won or finished 2nd in that 3rd race, just couldn't catch a slide with lag and blew my chance. But that's how it is lol

Wreckfest would be improved further I think by having a vehicle viewer after the race, where it cinematically pans around each vehicle to show the extremes of the damage they recieved. You could look at it and see where each hit was, and if you were involved or nearby maybe even know what wreck did it.

I'm certain the pit-maneuver works with the physics of this game; you do have to initially steer toward off-road, but timed to intersect the rear-wheel of the person just-ahead alongside-you: your intersected-inertia all combines for a few moments forming a temporary {L} in rotation; as long as you keep on the gas, the person ahead of you will pivot-sideways and move-sideways, straightening you out, recovering your steering (as they shoot off the road). source GTASA

Watch as the chaos unfolds to reveal:_ 4:01 _"A fiery couch is left on the track._ 7:26 _"There's a van jam in a loop._ 16:24 _"Laddo lives up to the channel's name._ 11:54 _And Alex greets a sneaky rock."_ For Laddo to win that 3rd race with a bumper car, considering the small vehicles never seem to have luck in the last tournament vid, that was a surprise to see appear on the race results board.

I really like Wreckfest, but it seems as though the makers of Wreckfest have abandoned the game. There's been no new game content for ages, not even for the Tournaments. I have over two million Fame points, and nothing new to spend them on.
