Totally agree with everything said here. As an IAF officer's daughter, the background took me back to my childhood and of my dad wearing the uniform. I really enjoyed the movie. It feels like it's Siddharth Anand's best movie.

No we will not watch. It's based on jealousy , hate and ignorance toward Pakistan. Till today India didn't provide a proof of surgical or Balakot strikes. Imran Khan mocked it in his Newyork UN speech but Indian delegate didn't respond because in your own 3rd world countries one can lie 24/7 to gain vote but in international space one can't. Foreign media will tear you apart. Secondly, Pakistani pilot was shown a kaala man with surma in his eyes and Indian pilot is hrthick when the reality is totally opposite. I bet Pakistan is shown a slum of India with indian green mosques and indian style holes wali skullcap. Hrthick and all Kapoor genes are from Pakistani regions. Those genes are not even 1% of India. The reality is that North Indians are 5 to 30 shades kaala and 10 to 30 phase Dravidian featured than Pakistanis. Our looking people are those who migrated from India during 1947 and they r not even 5% of Pak population.

Fighter is an excellent movie. It’s a lot of fun the visuals & VFX are awesome, the acting and direction is superb and the runtime goes very quickly. I highly recommend it

Fighter is superb .. I wasn't impressed with the trailer as again they showed anti Pakistan scenes but the making of the movie..including the performances..VFX of Air Force Fighter Jets, action scenes and the emotional elements is top notch..deserves to be a blockbuster...all supporting cast and the villain also deserves special mention for amazing performances..Great tribute to our Air Force...there is inspiration from Tom Cruise's Top Gun but we can proudly say this is India's best Air Force movie till date ...Hrithik is just mind blowing above all..in the climax when he is beating the villain to pulp with some punchline dialoguebaazi, it reminded me of Amitabh's heydays climax scenes..no wonder he is a true blue Superstar...Director Siddharth Anand (Bang Bang, War, Pathan) gets the best out of Hrithik always and Fighter surprisingly is Siddharth's best movie till date according to me...What also goes in Fighter's favour is that it's anti terrorism and not anti Muslim as one of the main cast who is part of Anil-Hrithik-Deepika team, actor Akshay Oberoi (Vivek Oberoi's cousin) is shown as a Muslim and his track is very heart warming ...also special mention to Bipasha Basu's hubby Karan Singh Grover who also plays a pivotal part in the same team..he is a very famous TV actor and has performed really well..the Villain is a discovery alright ..His name is Rishabh Sawhney and I think this is his debut and what a fantastic debut it is..he looks absolutely mean as hell in the movie and his heavy baritone voice makes the character all the more effective👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻💯💯💯💯👍👍👍👍👍

unfortunately i didnt like the film as much as you did baddie. i think it was too long. too jingoistic and over melodramatic. villain was super weak and some subplots could hv been done away with. also, i didnt like the dialogs at all. btw, thank you for mentioning khakee. i had loved the film then and i rewatched it few months back and still enjoyed it..

*** Fighter Hindi Movie Review *** Directed by Siddharth Anand starring Hrithik Roshan Deepika Padukone Anil S Kapoor in the lead role... Bollywood now has a director who could pull off high octane action films & that is Siddharth Anand - View after watching Fighter.. The world of the fighter is not different from the usual Terrorist Based Plots but what made to say Siddharth Anand as the guaranteed film-maker for high octane is his execution & perfect blending of emotions which escalates the action he delivers which matches with the emotions. When comes to Fighter, the story kicks off from the Pulwama attack & how these air fighters give a tough reply to their opponents forms the rest part.. The story initially begins with the character introduction followed by building these characters into us thereby making us familiar as why these people are into the world of air force. The movie depicts the love angle but the positivity is it hasn't overshadowed the main plot.. Performance wise Hrithik stolen the show. If in War , Kabir Singh was a man of shrewd but when it comes to Fighter, the character carries emotions & that elevates in many situations when it requires which for a viewer get convince able & he done that part superbly. Deepika on the other hand would say when comparing her screen presence & character demand in Pathaan, here her essentiality was feeling less but since in the movie as I feel why a female air force officer is required from that angle we could say Ok but otherwise she didn't have much space to do.. Aerial action sequences was a cinematic viewing experience although VFX was cringe at certain points but still the BGM was blended well and action design of a aerial was superbly executed thereby negating the flaws of VFX. Anil Kapoor given a perfect support for the film with his fine performance. Overall Fighter reminds us again of the sacrifice of our real heros, making it worth watching viewing experience at Big Screen

TLDR: I would take BR’s reviews for Bollywood megastar movies with a pinch of salt in the future. Details: I rely in BR reviews before I decide to watch a movie. Unfortunately, the Fighter turned out to be very average movie in contrast to BR’s review. It turned out to be overly Hrithik show and patriotism was left to a handful few mins in 2 hr 40 mins movie. The movie missed the sincerity of Lakshya. It lacked the originality. The dialogues reminded me of countless hyper-nationalism loaded WhatsApp forwards. The action scenes had to be followed by misplaced songs in split seconds. Deepika’s character reminded of her YJHD and Tamasha ones and her character despite having potential was narrowed down to be an eye candy. Ashutosh Rana was wasted and the story of Deepika and her parents was so abrupt, it felt like that part was pushed on audiences without much purpose (Indian girls are already achieving great heights in army and every part of life). P.S. This is all to save a few bucks for cinema lovers who like good cinema.

Fantastic review as always BR. It's worth noting that the Mission Impossible series draws inspiration from the Telugu Goodachari series and Top Gun finds its roots in several Telugu patriotic movies. Tom Cruise even reached out to Telugu patriotic directors for insights on crafting such impactful films.

The movie was a good watch. Barring Deepika and that love angle (which is horrible, and jarring) everything else worked for me. She is just a huge bore and cannot act nor can she deliver when required. 30-40 mins could've easily been trimmed. Just remove her and the love angle. This would've been a brisk and perfectly paced movie.
