Fighting against german ace Iceman

2 ай бұрынI was flying La5FN protecting friendly bombers.. I did poor job at that.. I spot enemy 109 in time but couldnt catch it in time.. Becouse of that we lost lot of good men.. In the end I didnt want that german to enjoy his victory so at all costs I was determined to shoot him down.. The way he was switching his targets and manouvering I knew he was an ace. In the end luck, better fighter on my part gave me the victory. Still salute to the german ace and my fallen comrades..

I tried these sims with CoD and track IR. Going against another human gives a good perspective of aerial combat. I was not a novice sim pilot by any stretch, but was totally outmatched by the sim aces. Of course one cannot compare sim flying to the real thing. A sim pilot lives irrespective of how many times he is shot down, but in real air combat there is fear, stress and life and death decisions that may be your last. It not the same thing and we must always remember and respect that and the men who flew and fought in the air for real.
