If you believe we desperately need a great surge of democracy in the face of fierce opposition from reactionary and corporate forces, then remembering the spirit of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who died 69 years ago this week, is in order. Historian Harvey J. Kaye talks about how FDR was able to mobilize Americans to create "the strongest and most prosperous country in human history."

Bernie Sanders needs our support! Congress also needs to shift away from obvious oligarchic control & influence, so we'd better vote the bums out & bring in new blood who will represent us for a change! Bernie can't do it alone. This needs to be a campaign for *all* House seats & 34 Senate seats up for grabs next year! We need to elect FDR-style progressives in 2016! Get out the vote, tell your friends & neighbors starting *now!*

My personal history is similar to of all my fellow countries in the neighborhood as for Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua and so on. Back 32 years ago, with a doctor degree from George Washington University and working at the world bank, life looked promising. Then, America crushed me to the point of been slander in the streets of Washington DC and as consequence I lost not just the job but the working visa and to return no Brazil to fall in the hands of cruels militaries and my also of Family. America knew that what will be of me if had to return. After all, nobody end up to live a few miles from the White House without America knowing very well who I was and Why I was there. I dove deep into a mightmare of a miserable contry under control of pederasts in uniform. Somehow I manage to survive and every day since then I have ask to myself: "Why America has done that to me." Millions always have intered the country trying to escape persecution of all kind. America has never forced anybody out but did that to me! Why...? Well, this World is not divided between Democrats and Republicans but between Have and Have not. I am Have not, I guess. But now, at the age of 64 I know better. America's beacon of civilization is Comunist China.

Don't give up! That's how they're beating US, they just keep up the lies till we give up in disgust. This is the time of year to call your Congressmen and Senators, or soon will be. Ring their phones OFF THE HOOK! It scares the HELL out of them when PEOPLE start moving (even if it's only to dial a phone).

Another thing was Roosevelt's legacy, when he was really needed, i.e. to support Henry Wallace for President, and he did not, so instead we got Truman and the Cold War and anti-Communists, which turned everything FDR did into some kind of "Commie Plot". Audiobooks are pretty much the most democratic form of book - so why is this book not available as an audiobook ... please?
