I love George but he mostly fought nobody's especially the second time around. Norton, Frazier,Ali , Holyfield and a way overrated Moorer. If you go back and watch his fights with Gregorio Peralta it's really eye opening that it took George nearly 20 rounds in 2 fights to stop a natural light heavyweight. Peralta was 35 and 36 years old and weighed 200 pounds. Think about that for a minute. Peralta was in no way scared of George and he was clearly smaller and didn't have a heavy punch and went nearly 20 rounds with Big George.

@earth7551 I know!!! With our beloved heavyweight champions we can throw alot of shade on their accomplishments. All the greatest from Johnson, Dempsey, Louis, Ali, Holmes, Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis ,Klitchko brothers, we can pick apart all of their records from all I just named. Maybe it's like that with heavyweight champions more so than lighter weights because they are supposed to be able to "beat any SOB in the house"...lol.

I remember then day Foreman and Lyle fought. I was still living at my Mothers place. I was outside and decided to see what was on Wild World of Sport. I turned on the tube to see one minute before the fight started. Howard Cosell said "better get your popcorn early this fight will never go the distance." He was right. I regarded this as the greatest slugfest I've ever seen.

Even has the audacity to count like he’d allow him to continue ffs And yeah I remember watching that Toney jirov fight live. Gatti ward but at cruiser. A sometimes forgotten brutal affair that was the most violent I’ve still ever seen. Never witnessed a fighter literally unable to not come forward like that despite how many right hands Jirov ate. Guy just would not stop. Also never heard Emmanuel lose his cool like that on broadcast haha absolutely insane fight. Well deserved fight of the year

Except Lewis Lennox. He fought none of the boxers in their primes. When Tyson wanted to fight him in his prime we did not see Lewis for 10 years. He was nothing but a big bum and Klitschko Would have won that fight If Lewis Didn't rub that steel wool on top of his head in his eyes. And then he would not give him A rematch and ducked him. He even gave up his title so he would not have to face him again. They should have banned him from fighting altogether. And in his prime he was nowhere to be seen fighting guys from the bum of the Month club. Punk

Me personally don't like Toneys style to be almost backwards, sideways. It's borderline stance by rules I think. I have seen fighters loose cause turning a back. Similar thing here, how you can legally hit another if 85% of target is facing away. These things are at the eye of beholder, I think 🤔 😕...?

I still say Mo Mo was the Greatest of all time ask me why Ali, simply because he did not want to rip your head off, no shit, he could have hit George more and chose not to, no one ever did that to George? He maid them all greater then they were and did not duck no one, took Death his whole career. Even myself I could hear a woman in a Ali fight and she kept saying get that N word, get him get that N word, kill him she was in the first row the whole World could hear what she was saying, no one escorted her nasty ass out either, he really was a constant professional many fights he would tell ref, stop the fight when his opponent was messed up, so yea him becoming Muslim helped him view man better, no doubt, peace be ion him!
