I actually applaud charlie... He did the reverse of selling out when he left busted and that is a hard thing to do because many people sell out from rock to do pop but charlie did the reverse so well done good sir :)

Apples and oranges indeed. I liked Busted when I was 15 and Fightstar is the kind of music I listen to now. Still they each have their own appeal.

I like Fightstar and Busted. Is that so mind blowing? Busted wrote songs that were catchy and fun. Fightstar writes songs that are edgy and emotional. How the hell can we even start to compare these bands?

For ages I hated Charlie for leaving Busted but listening to Fightstar and his solo music made me realise that it was for the better. Busted were good and fun to listen to but their main audience was teenagers and their songs were somewhat 'immature' and I don't blame Charlie for wanting to get rid of that boyband-ish image. And also in many Busted interviews you could tell Charlie wasn't happy. Fightstar and Charlie may not be as big as Busted but at least Charlie is happy.
