This song is older than most kids today... I'm 41, and this was the first song to drag me into the rage emo faze of my life in my 20s. It means a lot, and still hold's feelings. Almost sad to hear it again and sing along.

I feel lucky I checked out this band when I saw a list of bands people listen to along with Funeral for a friend. I feel like I could learn something from Fightstar. Awesome band, even better than Funeral.

for the easy listener, the basic concept of 'Grand Unification' and the album that bears its name is based upon that of an anime callled 'Neon Genesis Evangelion'. having watched a lot of the series, this song makes even more sense...

I wish I could remember how I discovered Fightstar, but this is the first song of their's I heard. I'm so happy too.. their entire discography is epicly good. EPIC BAND.

Grand Unification is a play on two concepts. 1. dealing with the Grand Unified Theory in physics and 2. The Human Instrumentality Project in Neon Genesis Evangelion. Grand Unified Theory is a model stating that the three main forces Electromagnetic (AT Field in Eva), Weak attractions (Character interactions), and Strong attractions (Rei and Lilith fusion) which would combine into one single large interaction (Human Instrumentality)

Who remembers the Dragonball Z version of the video!?! I loved it, partly the reason why i loved the song in the first place. And I agree, it doesn't get boring. I had it on repeat on some coach trip with school and my friend just didn't understand! :D

I've never understood why every single song has to fall under a "genre". I remember as a kid everyone had to have a "genre" label for every single band and eventually these labels became longer than the band names. And then of course you were supposed to not like bands if they were a certain genre. A good song should just be a good song.

The instument and the voice is very balance! They let the fans to listen the whole music not just focus on the vocal. That's is real music. However, Charlie can attract everyone eyes.

whenever I look at them on youtube, its almost always in people's top 5. I think its by a long way their best song. Their other hits are nearly excellent, but just don't have the epic quality of this one.

@AutumnPepper i loved watching it with DBZ! it really suited to, especially the part with trunks when Gohan dies in the past :( and gohan going super saiyan against cell was just bad ass, did they get copy right claims or something? is that why the changed it :(

charlie may have been in Busted previously but he was a rocker waiting to get out.. I hated charlie for been in Busted and i said Id never listen to Fightstar. turned out Fightstar were great and are one of my favorite bands around today :-)
