Thank God. I am a happy Indian . Since childhood I had the dream to be in USA or Europe . But now the dream is over. My country is a growing one. still happy, ever happy with my sweet Mother land India.

One of the problems for homelessness in America is because families don’t support each other like they should. They won’t help even their own blood. But when I look at some Spanish people, I see how they really care for each other, mostly Mexicans.

I live in Los Angeles: homelessness is normal and not shocking anymore. It’s literally everywhere: from Anaheim, Long Beach, DTLA, Venice, Santa Monica, to Malibu! People are sleeping on the sidewalk at night or riding the bus all night then find a park to sleep in the daytime. Or they live in encampments or tents. Trust me, I rode the bus as a homeless person myself. Homeless is not just drug addicts; a large portion of the homeless you don’t see are women over 60 and disabled people. Even with their disability or retirement income, housing is not affordable. I hear working guys say they are ripped off paying rent or motel fees when they can just sleep outside. If rents weren’t so high homelessness would be cut in half.

When your country spend half of the budget on just military

This is heart wrenching! I am a South African and we are so used to seeing this back home, I never thought I'd see this in the US. We usually think of the US coming up with solutions for this kind of crisis. Its extremely sad to see people just sleeping on the ground, nowhere to go.

I never thought that this kind of massive poverty would occur in America. I was raised in NYC during the 50s . You could buy a mechanic's special house for less than $4000 back then. Now I see this video and I wonder what the next 50 yrs. will bring to the USA.

It's worse than just the people living on the streets. My grandpa, aunt and myself would be living on the streets if my mom didn't let us live with her. It's sad that we are the unseen homeless. I just started this channel some few months ago, my pray is l start earning from it soon🙏🙏

If so many people like this are sleeping during the day, it makes me wonder what they are doing at night. You can't sleep 24 hours every day.

I live in Indonesia, a country that is not as rich as European and North American countries. But homelesness is a very rare sight, there are some homeless people but generally they became homeless because they left home and unable to find the way to return home due to their mental illness.

I’m homeless and live in my car, been going through a lot of emotional trauma but am strong enough to pull me and my loved one out of this. My problem is finding the sense to pay rent. It just feels like a waste of money to me, paying someone else’s mortgage plus some, doesn’t correlate well with me. Saving money and staying healthy are the biggest things with being homeless. If you have no responsibilities besides basic necessities and a phone bill you should be able to save enough if you work enough. When you are on your knees you have to sometimes find the mental strength to get through your current problem and work on the next problem. Some people have much larger problems but a-lot of it have to do with mindset and success in overcoming your challenges or barriers in life.

I gotta go sober. I dont want to be homeless. God give me strength 🙏

I have read most of the comments. Everybody is right in their own perspective. However, it is painful, nobody likes to live that way. Driven by drugs, discrimination, unequal opportunity, misfortune, govt policies, capitalism and greedy money makers, poor planning they ended up in their comfort zone. What is the way out? Complex!

The solution would be... A person can't own more than 2 house and lot (properties). The reason is that, rich people or people that can afford will buy several properties and thus depleting the supply and when that happens demand and prices will skyrocket.

My friend from Bangladesh living in New York gets 7000 dollar salary in government Institute in America But his cost is quite high Nothing left for savings His one month salary is higher than my yearly salary But Bangladesh is much better than America At least people can eat 3 times a day and can make some savings Livelihood is not that costlier Social crimes less than America America is rich but not great It's losing it's power

Growing up in a third world country in the 1970s, many of my school mates had ambitions to study and live in America. It was truly the Land of Milk and Honey, the pinnacle of our hopes and dreams. Hollywood movies painted a wonderful picture of all things Americana. My elder brother secured a college scholarship, went over and later achieved the proverbial American Dream. I wanted to go the following year but family poverty hindered my progress. That was then. Would I want to live in America today? Definitely not. In many ways, that magical destination of my childhood has become a nightmare. I need not go into the many factors causing the decline of this Beautiful Country. Internal decay is setting in so politicians look for an external enemy, their bogeyman.

This drug pandemic is happening in other cities as well. It reminds me of the 70's seventies. During the latest it affected Hispanics and the Black community. Now is affecting everyone including young white caucasians. It is all too sad. But as everything, it will pass. Some will survive others will perish.

I helped out a lady around four years ago. I seen her the other day. Still there. Some of these folks don't get a shower for months or years. Including older females. Society could help a bit more

Most of them are pretty young. They can work and earn their livelihood. Now they need to be guided and helped to be employed. Cautious people should come forward for this reason.

This is sad and wish non of these go through what they are going through now. I tried so hard to understand the cause of citizens,in a land full of opportunities and yet living in such a deplorable state. But people come from all over the world into America and make it big. My uncle for instance traveled into the USA with nothing,got a job,worked really hard bought a house, and help me complete my college education.

It really breaks my heart to see the plight of these people, just thinking what's their goverment doing for them. There's a lot of addicts here in my country but they are civil enough to stay out of the street and the government is doing its best to help them thru rehabilitation.

I had a homeless girl to who sometimes I give food to with her mum. Suddenly her mum disappeared and left her alone to look after herself. She was 10 by then and my daughter liked her a lot. I don't have a husband but I'm scared of taking her in

Once American citizen already , they are eligible for many benefits if they are poor including unemployment benefits , food stamps for each person in the family , providers money , home rent benefits , etc , they all come about $ 3000 a month , but they need to apply , besides all these , free schooling , free medical benefits and for higher edication like med schools , poor category need a very low score ( like entrance test ) inorder for admission , what other countries will do this kinds of care to the poor people ?

I was in America. In the beginning it was good but when I saw through the layers, the materialism made me feel sick and throw up every single day. I left and never came back. My country is poor but at least I have a home here.

I am Indian and I accept that poverty in our country but the government tries hard to provide free ration, house, health care to the poor. Sadness happens when travelers from Europe and America come here to enjoy poverty and click pics.

To all the people on this particular video is making comments about homelessness, I was homeless myself for two years and I know what it's like I read one comment about a guy that said he was like me where he didn't panhandle he you know built him a little tent did our jobs I did that too cuz I had a lot of pride they wouldn't let me beg for money, but my heart goes out to those who are homeless and I'm saying this you need Jesus to get up off the streets okay trust me this is something I know once I start letting God work for me he worked me out into a decent home into a decent job and better by Future I'm a married man now with a family, you can get up out of living homeless on the streets regain a sense of pride and go to God and tell him you need him to help and if you are addicted I wish it was someplace or someone that can help you battle that so that you can recover and become a better person not that you're a bad person now you're just lost and we all get there so I'm saying I'm praying that you are going to find God because if you do he will lead you out of the streets amen

I used to dream to live in USA when i was younger. During my time, nursing profession was very indemand course in the Philippines so i took it🤣 and planned to work in US. Sadly it never happen, im a nurse but here in the middle east living comfortably. Watching this, it makes me very sad coz US is a powerful and a first world country, I just cant understand why their government allowed all these things to happened.

Part of why this is like this is because most of the shelters are unbearable, disgusting + uncomfortable
