FIGURE RISE STANDARD VEGETA NEW SPEC VER.
Figure Rise Standard Dragon Ball Z Vegeta was releases on the 29th of July and is the second kit in their New Spec line with the first being Son Goku in his base form.
These new spec kits are a revamp of their older line of Dragon ball themed model kits featuring updated sculpting and more streamline articulation that can rival their SH Figuarts counterparts.

I’m surprised this is the same height as the Figuarts considering previous Figure rise kits have towered over the Figuarts. I would love to throw my spare base Vegeta head on it and have that displayed as a base Vegeta with my Figuarts

It's so cool that figure rise is in almost same scale with SHF and quality gap is also getting closer! Bandai should go on with new spec figure rise, they are so much fun to build, which provides completely different experience as SHF!

man this kit is so awesome. This would look good with new Trunks heads as well. The scale is awesome too, hope they make future model kits of characters same size as their shf counterparts, would be awesome

For some reason i like it, the headsculpt isn't that great yes but it's kinda cute lol, looks like a mascot and i like that.. the body in my opinion is wayyyy better than figuarts, i absolutely hate all those empty spaces at his joints that makes him look weird.. here he looks buff 💪

Unfortunate we never got the old MG Figure rise Vegeta, I do like the Body proportions on this, I always like Vegeta being buffer than Goku! and I like the scale is the same as the SHF vegeta 2.0, the face while definitely better than the promotional still has that ugly yet charming CGI look, it kinda has that old PS1 Budokai game look for vegeta unlike Goku which has that modem CGI game look.

Ngl, i think the idea for the figure is nice, the only really bad thing that would prevent a lot of people from buying it is the headsculpt, its not terrible, but its not really good either

His Head looks like the Plastic Mask Heads the Actors were wearing while re-enacting the fight with Cell and Mr. Satan had to save them on Television. (reenactment) If you remember that scene.

nice review, as always. this model kit is interesting... it seems a bit too small for the figure-rise line, but the perfect height to be a replacement for the sh figuarts line XD. if the neck were like 1mm taller, it would look even better imo. still cool!

you can pull up his neck, the neck is attached to a piece that is pulled down when you press on his neck, hard to explain but i fixed mine by superglueing that piece behind his torso

Man I really can't wait for this to arrive in a few days, I actually don't have any figuarts so this is a massive step up from the old kit. I can't wait to get this guy in hand and paint him up

I've had this figure for a while now and last night I've actually did a slight mod to the neck peg. I've sanded it down to be able to pop the ASSB Vegeta head on it and now it serves as a great Super Vegeta since the body is bulky and its fairly in scale with Figurarts

I wanted to use it with goku o trunks head for a custom, because in teory, figurise models have a bigger body... but I'm not sure is not enough big...

I'm thinking about getting og z Broly from figuarise since the figuarts is way too much money, does it scale pretty well with figuarts since Broly is supposed to be quite giant? Would love if figuarise makes more lines of figures that scales well with figuarts

I really want to buy this because its a good price and all but im wondering in its easy to pose without breaking because you have to build it. can i use it for figure posing?

Am yes you can, but just remember it’s not going to handle like a Marvel legends or figurarts. You can pose it definitely

Great body, but that head still looks weird. It looks like a balloon. Maybe it will look better when I actually get mine in person, but man...that head just looks so bad compared to other Vegeta heads we've gotten over time. Especially from Figuarts, and previous model kits.

You’ll need to mod it, but the heads should work well proportion wise!

I don't like him, he has small shoulders, and a big-ass face, and the separation in his crotch looks bad. I don't know why bamco decided this version of the figure would look cool. But it is what it is. I 'm not gonna buy him tho. Great review btw.

The sculpting looks very nice, extremely solid, and looks like an actual action figure and not a model kit...but...what the heck is with the gap at the waist near the crotch area 🤨🤨🤨???
