Hockey rules should have a new rule on causing multiple strokes in one shoot-out. Not saying he isn't a legend, but making 3 penalty stroke faults isn't really goalkeeping.

Swapnil chavan but despite this fine performance India I shudder to think if India faces Australia.Well we all know what had happened to India at the Tokyo Olympics and in this year's Commonwealth Games at Birmingham.India were soundly beaten 7-1 and 7-0 by Australia respectively.

Indian hockey team is in correct direction even if they lost the second game 3-2 but i am very Happy with the way our players how calmness and composure... And getting mentally strong

Fabulous match. We have to win the Asiad gold, then a podium finish in the World CUp and Olympics. Graham Reid has revived Indian hockey. This is our national game, not cricket. Jai Hind.

With these two points India are assured of a podium finish. lost the second game 3-2 to belgium today though but the germans defeated the dutch giving us a life line. we could still win Gold if we defeat the dutch in both the games in Rotterdam next weekend. Lets keep the hope alive. If only not for that bad defeat to france in south africa it would have been a better situation

yeah esp the one in southafrica was a lazy performance . if only we could have won those two games or avoided the two home draws against england and argentina .but still we have chance if we win both the games against the dutch next weekend . lets keep the hope alive.

India is really carrying Asia in hockey, while Korea, Pakistan & my home country, Malaysia is a bit inconsistent & clueless in tackling the attack from European teams. We need to do more (tactic, defensive drills, mental training etc.) to really compete with the heavyweights from Euro. And maybe we can start by learning with India.

Nobody should take 3 strokes in succession. And Belgium really should have some variation in their penalty corners, especially against teams with such fast first runners.

Indian hockey is back on track...Want to see simranjeet inplace of Akashdeep... Haven't seen him in India colours after that bronze medal match where he scored 2 field goals out of nowhere...Akashdeep takes too much time in moving the ball & he is unable to beat the defence of big teams time & time again...for a striker with 150 caps he scores very less number of goals...he missed twice & India could have won if he scored...
