Eamonn O Reilly it depends wether you ride in the city or countryside and it gets dirtier quicker. I only ride in the city, usually in good weather, so i just cleaned and lubbed the chain once in 300km

This bike moves. I am very impressed with it. Considering the price. I was able to get 22 miles out of it on over 80% throttle and about 20% pedal assist. Averaging 16mph My commute to work and back is 21 miles. So this is perfect.

James Davis in pure electric to be honest is not that powerful, you will not feel a punch while accelerating. But if you pedal while using the throttle it gets to max speed very quick, like 5 seconds or less to the max speed of 32km/h

I have also bought this ebike one week ago. 3 problems I have founded, 1 Right side paddle started make tik tik sound, I resolved it by putting a few drops of oil in the paddle, 2nd Ebike was not light in driving without motor. I solved it by aligning it disc brakes. 3rd problem is still remaining that is the tik tik sound from front side, I think this is from it handle or handle pipe area side. Overall the ebike is good at very low price 600 euro.

Ali Baba it seems that either Fiido doesn’t have a good quality control or lots of bikes get damage during shipping. In mine i also had to align the disk brakes but even after that the front one cyclically brakes harder/softer, so the disk might be bent =\ i hope it will improve with some wear of the disk. I also have a tik tik sound on the front when i go over holes, I haven’t found yet the cause, i read maybe it’s an over tightened stem. But as you said, even with this minor problems the bike is really good for all the things it has 👍🏽

Probably where the handle bars fold that is fairly common issue on alot of ebikes and scooters. Often making a little gasket to stop metal on metal dose the job to stop wobble or sqeek.

@@fortboy66 Technically possibly it is CE rated though has a 250w motor and limited to 15.5mph which is the main things really. Because of that it is incredibly unlikely you will ever draw attention to the bike anyway.

It's very easy - pull throttle to full with bike off and hold it there, squeeze brakes and hold too. switch on bike., you will get an E error code and bike is now unlocked. It is offered from sale unlocked from supplier and instructions are in manual.

@@luke5309 done about 2.4km on it so pretty good. One of the negatives is it doesn’t have suspension so bumpy roads are a struggle.

If you unlock. The only time the cops may be interested in your bike is if you are involved in an accident where someone was injured. That's why its best to get 3rd party insurance or you could get sued for big money!!!!

Karlini 123 the only problem so far is the front disk brake that doesn’t brake evenly (just noticeable breaking at low speeds), because it seems the disk is bent (maybe got damage during shipping). Besides that it’s working perfectly, good range and good speed. I have 90kg and i ride between 25-32km/h usually without problems 👍🏽

With this controller yes, it needed just to press some buttons (there's the video in KZfaq). But it seems that they changed the controller in the newer units, so I don't know if it's still possible

Todas las bicis eléctricas al llevar motor trasero funcionan mal. Siempre hay que comprobar que la rueda delantera y trasera en vacío rueda suave y dura bastante el rodamiento. Si ves que se para a las dos vuelatas hay que desmontar la rueda y aflojar el eje siempre que no tenga holgura y también comprobar que las pastillas no rozan en vacío y sin apretar la maneta. Si rozan es que no está bien puesto el freno hidraúlico y hay que desaflojar los dos tornillos que tiene en la parte superior frenar fuerte y entonces apretarlos sin soltar la maneta asi nos aseguramos que están perfectamente acoplados. También se el truco de hacerla legal y que no lleve acelerador físico en el puño para que no nos denuncien. El truco es quitarlo del manillar y poner otro (el más pequeño que exista) dentro de la controladora o fuera pero en algún hueco (que lo hay) y rellenerlo de silicona caliente para que no se mueva ni le entre agua. El truco está en que llevas acelerador y el circuito envía señal a la controladora pero en posición cero sin accionarlo. Asi ya no tenemos acelerador físico y no puedes acelerar prácticamente al no llevarlo. Tu bici es legal al 100 por 100. Pues bien los SUPER INGENIEROS de Fiido no saben cómo anularlo y quitarlo del manillar dicen que si lo desenchufas a error y la bici no arranca. Pues bien en Aliexpress hay aceleradores miniatura que son pequeñisimos y son válidos para mi "invento" jajaja. Con lo fácil que hubiera sido programar la controladora para que la función acelerador se anule. Aviso que las multas son enormes y estás haciendo una acción contra la Seguridad Vial en España si te cogen y ven que llevas acelerador. Ya hay muchas bicis eléctricas que venden en España que no lo llevan al darse cuenta del fallo. Pero nosotros con nuestra magnífica Fiido nos arriesgamos a la sanción gorda. Lo de deslimitar la bici lo veo una tontería ya que te puedes dar un golpe o atopellar a alguien y te buscas la ruina. Además con mi invento no se puede deslimitar.

I, can you tell me if you can use the bike without the eletric help ? Just like a normal bike in case the battery run out of power ? I have a niubility b14 and I can pedaling but without gear that is useless. I hesitate to buy a D4S to use it like a normal bike in case the battery run out of power ? Thanks

Definitely👍🏽 sometimes i like to do exercise with my bike so I keep the motor off. I usually reach 20-25 km/h in a bike ride of 30kms that i normally do

8P36 i used an insulating electrical tape that’s black, in PVC. Search for those that are wide, like 50mm, so you would need less strips to cover the frame and they would be less apparent 👍🏽

bma.reviews hi mate thanks for the video,, why did you put tape over the frame? Was it just to cover the manufacturer trade marks? If it was you should get some vinyl wrap.. Are you liking the mudguards, are they holding up ok? I bought the original mudguards, I have put them I the bike but I do not like them, so I will get some of the ones you put on if they don’t come loose, did you order the larger size? Please can you do another video showing how the mudguards look on the bike front other angles that would really help 👍

MarcRCAddict i covered with tape to make it harder for thieves to know if it’s an electric bike and which model, and i also think that it look better all black. I haven’t rode in heavy rain, but until now the mudguards are doing fine, and they don’t do any noise when i ride in bad roads. I bought the 16-20” size (the bigger)

bma.reviews that’s a great idea mate making it look a bit less electric at a glance, I can’t stand bike thieves they are scum, I mounted a big d-lock to mine but if a thief really want it that will not stop then.. the mudguards sound great, would you be able to do a short video just showing them on your bike in different angles?

I’ve bought this bike recently. I only tried it indoors. My question is when I start pedaling on level 1, after a while el. engine launches and accelerates the bike. However when I stop pedaling the engine keeps accelerating (without using a throttle). In order to quit engine support I have to press the break. Is that normal that after stopping paddling the engine keeps on going?

The bike has this lag to turn on/off the motor. It usually takes 2-3 seconds for it to turn off the paddle if after you stopped pedaling

Julz Dcute yes 👍🏽 this was also one of my goals when buying this bike. When the motor is turned off, pedaling is almost as a normal bike. I read that there are some gears inside the motor hub, so when it’s off the motor uncouple from the wheel. Yesterday for example i did a quick ride of 3,4km and i had an average of 19km/h just pedaling, without going down a hill

Dear friends. I just wanted to ask a question. I bought the D4s four months ago, I have done just 350 kms and the bike is already loosing power! When I move from 1st to the 2nd electric gear there's almost nothing happening, no push anymore! From the 2nd to the 3rd gear there is some more push but nothing compared to when I first bought the bike. Do you have any ideas what this could be and how it could be fixed? I know very little about these things ... Thank you very much for your time

Use the throttle to max and see how fast can you go. In mine without pedaling and on a plain surface i got 34km/h in the bike speedometer. (Set the max pressure allowed before for the tires)

@@bma.reviews5275 Thank you for your reply. I did as suggested and the bike can reach roughly the same speed at 32km/h with full throttle on a flat surface with no pedal assistance. But as said, that's not the problem. The problem is that when changing the electric gears (especially from 1st to 2nd) there's hardly any change, you don't feel anymore the bike pushing forward. So I don't know if that relates to the battery or it's a different problem. Something wrong to do with the electric gears mechanism maybe?

Please be advised that the Fiido D4S does not conform to EU and UK pefelec law. Why?Bikes like this and others that have twist accelerator that may maintain speed without pedal assist are classified as mopeds-moto, which require driving licence and insurance. Police are fining heavily users of non compliant Pedelec ebikes. Be warned
