Fiji's Frank Bainimarama has been called a dictator and a disgrace. With the Commonwealth warning to suspend Fiji s membership if elections are not held by next year, what does Bainimarama have to say?
" I keep telling everyone a radical change needs to be brought in. And radical change cannot be brought in by some weak organization." When Bainimarama seized power in 2006, he promised that elections would be held this year. But 3 months ago he announced he 'd be ruling for another five years. Bainimarama denies being a dictator and believes that there has simply been a lot of misunderstanding by the international community .

The FijiFirst government was the most progressive government in the history of Fiji. They got rid of the racist, divisive and communal voting system which made iTaukeis vote for iTaukei candidates and Indo-Fijians vote for Indo-Fijian candidates. This voting system was based on the British divide-and-rule system so that iTaukei and Indo-Fijians wouldn't be united. Also, they FijiFirst government is the only government which gave all the citizens of Fiji the common identity as Fijian, regardless of thier race and religion etc. The previous Rabuka government had made the Indo-Fijians second class citizens in thier own country of birth. There will never be another government as progressive as the FijiFirst government. Sadly, some Indo-Fijians didn't realise what the FijiFirst government had done for them and voted against them. They're going to suffer for being so ungrateful.

13:09 These Indians were on Native land on Lease for whatever years. Their leases had expired. The Nationalist Anti Indian Govt. of Qarase made laws that their Leases won't be renewed. Thus their land was taken over by the traditional owners and they did nothing with it. It became bushland. But This Man Bainimarama became The Prime Minister and gave back these land to the Indians on 99 yr leases. It's thriving with Sugar Cane Farms today.

Anybody whose lived through the 2000 coup knows goddam well who he is. Back when the people who did the coup and the PM of that time were in cohort. They all fooled the Fiji people so nice. Only this guy had The ball to restore order until SDL fucked it up and he had to STEPUP again this time he took the country under his control. All the other countries call him dictator and dislike him because they can't run their businesses. To anyone who has not lived through the 2000 coup, you honestly don't know shit. He's not the worst, Chaudhary was the worst that divided the Fijian and indians and we feeling the effects of it till this day.

He is a dictator in the south pacific. Since 2006 he rules to this day forcing a political reform designed entirely to put him in power. He abrogated the law of the land that would have him faced the death penalty for treason and replaced it with a charter turned constitution shrouded with false public approval statistics. . He got the backings of the institution he once led through annual increase in perks to gain their support. Mr Baininarama is a smart but arrogant leader who used his position in the military to gain power. He axed Fijis trade relationships with the west and the two neighbors for Asia. He is the most powerful man in Fiji today, more powerful than the president, judiciary and legislation. He is above the law through his daily actions. Critics of the govt and his system of governance were harassed and charged. To say and claim that he is not a dictator when evidence had proved otherwise Mr Bainimarama is placing himself amongst the worst corrupt leaders of the 21st century. He is still governing Fiji today .

I am ashamed to see why Leo pl le cannot see the broader positive side of Fiji First Party. In the history of Fiji in the last 50 years I have never seen any other Prime Minister taking Fiji forward by addressing and minimising racism and promoted unity and fairness with equality in most areas. I'm not denying progress made over the years but the cloud of terror won't go away until it rains. The truth of the matter is it is a sham. Lest they forget the agony, pain, suffering and loss of so many in the hand of this man, their scars never depart. He took over the countrys political leadership by force in 2000 that materialized in 2006. Ever since he is the supreme ruler, the govt, the law, chief , the vanua and the military dictator . Even though the general elections were made and won by his party it's obvious that the new system was changed and adopted in their favor. When one gives his best in the present to appease the past he is repeating the past in the future. This statement will come to pass for Mr Baininarama. It will catch up on him.

In this interview he States that if we break the law people can go down to the Police Station, report and face consequences of their actions and says he can't control Qarase's bail conditions.. pfft.. LIAR !!! when we all witness him breaking the Law.. it's solved with MP's and Police Officers sacked while he simply apologises?! He isn't taking us forward... He's brainwashing people to fit HIS IDEAS ! It would make sense if we were developing and he made a cut of his pay to help our economy but he's making money out of it while we get a shitty low minimum wage. Plus his Tactics of winning elections on Freebies is Crazy... People pay more than they should for TELS Loans, Bus companies will need to be paid for the free bus fare schemes and obviously $1000 for newborns doesn't fall from the sky ! NOTHING COMES FREE. He's now trying to be less transparent after being caught on Camera but what can the rest of the country do with what we know? Change should come from a person who doesn't brain wash for personal gain but someone who walks the talk !
