After a long time waiting we could finally return to our favorite place, that's been closed for the past years.
The beautiful Minalungao National Park known for its unrealistically beautiful turquoise green river. Thanks to the locals and the Filipino kids we met we had even more fun than expected discovering a whole new side of the area that didn't come without some exciting challenge!

Ty S & J (&P), thrilling adventure. I remember the Park from your prior visits, but can’t recall what the original entrance was like. Will have to rewatch. Maraming Salamat po to the locals , adults & children, esp the gentleman who was behind you then ahead of you for the summit climb! The view was stunning & kinda scary. You should have tens or hundreds of thousands views…

I hope so! I'm glad they limited the amount of bamboo rafts allowed on the river to preserve its beauty better 😊

@AngryKittens- are those really shrimp, I couldn’t see very well on my technology? They looked similar to crawfish, one of my fave meals… thanks if you can reply , AK , & even if you cannot. 😄

@@wintersojourn9356 Yes. They are freshwater prawns, genus _Macrobrachium_ which are distinguished by their highly-elongated but relatively slender claws. They're very common in the Philippines, and usually called "ulang", "urang", "udang", or "uwang" in various local languages. One species is farmed - the giant river prawn - which can grow up to a foot long (excluding the claws). They are true shrimp (carideans). Crawfish/crayfish, on the other hand, are astacids. They are more closely related to lobsters and crabs than to shrimp. They have larger more robust claws compared to _Macrobrachium_ prawns. There are no native crawfish in Southeast Asia, with the exception of some parts of New Guinea under Indonesia. In fact, the only native crawfish in Asia is from northern Japan. All other crawfish are only found in Europe, North America, South America, Madagascar, Australia, New Zealand, and New Guinea.
