Tortang Talong - Eggplant was grilled or blanched, removed skin flattened then dip to scrambled eggs with just salt, no need for any special seasonings, burning the egg in low fire cooking until it have some crispy textures on sides will do the magic

You street food reviews brings me back to my childhood back in Manila especially the chicken intestines (Isaw) and the pig’s ears. They go well with the vinegar sauce with a hint of chili. Plus the egg plant (tortang talong) and lumpia (spring rolls) are amazing as well. I usually wash the street food down with sago at gulaman (sweet grass jelly and pearls) or buko juice (fresh coconut water). If you haven’t tried those two drinks I highly recommend them. More power! And keep rocking with your vlogs Simona!!!

Tortang talong (grilled eggplant in egg omelette) is best served with dipping sauce and rice. Dipping sauce I mean soy sauce with kalamansi squeeze and smashed chilli for a kick. You can also use sweet chilli sauce if you don't want it too spicy. Love love love!!

Hahah Isaw aka chicken intestine, saving the best for last! Honestly, i dont like eating it if it's not warm, even if its dipped in vinegar. Vinegar does add a kick to the taste but imo it just removes the "aftertaste". There is also pork isaw. I loved isaw as a kid, i eat it with rice but yeah, if your stomachs a bit sensitive, this isnt for you. It's like balot in a way. If you're not ready for it, you may even throw up. this is my 2nd time commenting on your vids and I am enjoying them so far. Thanks Simona! Keep uploading these vids, stay safe. And yeah, I agree to the guy/gal that said you kinda look like gal gadot in some angles. PS. there are different types of Lumpia. I believe the one you tried in this vid is Lumpiang-toge.

Tortang Talong or that eggplant mixed with egg is one of my favorite as a Filipino. You have two options in preparing the eggplant. Grilled or Steamed. then with a use of a fork just ran down your fork like combing the eggplant then splat it with your fork.. put it in the scrambled egg you have prepared with your desired spices and seasoning then fry it in a pan with a butter or cooking oil.. then you'll have your delicious meal. Eggplant has a unique smell whenever you grill it.

Eat the fried egg-eggplant w/rice and use KALAMANSI & soy sauce mix as your dipping sauce. if you have onions and hot-pepper throw that in the dipping sauce then you'll have the best fried egg-eggplant or tortang-talong experience.
