Okay a couple questions. 1. does how you make the glass matter? 2. I am unable to see the effect inside the glass object but when I move the glass object away I can then see the effect. and I can only see the effect in wire mesh. 3. is there a special method to make to glass hollow? Do I need to make it hollow?

Eevee is often not perfect, it does not allow us to see a semi-transparent object (like smoke) through a transparent material (like glass). Try to use Cycles for a better output. There are ways to make it work in Eevee as well, but it needs a complete tutorial, difficult to explain in a comment 3. Yes, you need to make the glass hollow.

Is it possible to make an abject smokey? Like a mesh with smoke coming out of it

Sure! It depends on how exactly you want it to look like. One option is to make the mesh a flow object of smoke type, keeping it visible. Then assign a semi-transparent material to it. Maybe a volume shader if you need the depth. You can animate the transparency of the material to keep it in-sync with the smoke pattern. Also it may be helpful to use a duplicate copy of this mesh which will be invisible, but will work as a second flow object, and the smoke from this invisible mesh should be heavier so that this part of the smoke remains mostly around the mesh itself, making it look smokey. These are just some options that you can try out. All the best!

OK, it looks like a simple thing - I add a glass object to be filled with smoke, create a flow object, create a domain and when I'm in the point " run the simulation we'll see that the smoke is generating " there's nothing - only static smoke around flow object ... EEVEE and CYCLES the same progress ... Blender 3.4.1, Ryzen 7 3700X, 32GB RAM, Nvidia Quadro P2000, Win 10 - all up to date - system even card drivers.

Been there seen that 😊 So I can understand the pain! Let me first assure you that it is nothing to do with your system configuration, and in simple words, the smoke simulation in Blender is somewhat buggy. Sometimes you'll see that nothing can make it work, it behaves very weird. However, the good thing is, it does get solved as well. Some of the things that I can suggest you to try: 1) Clear your cache files physically from windows explorer, navigating to the location where you kept the cache (by default it uses some system folder, but you can change the cache location in the cache section under the physics tab). Then bake it again. 2) Delete the domain and add a new one. Before you delete, remove any keyframe for this domain that you might have added, otherwise they will be duplicated in the new one and it can create a problem. 3) Dump this file and start afresh with a new file. Sometimes a file just does not work, although the same settings in a new file does. Whatever I said here may not look very logical, but it works in many cases. I know this from my experience and that is why I think the smoke simulation has some bugs.

Sorry for the late reply. Please check if your fluid cache is outdated. Also render one frame in Cycles to ensure that it is not an Eevee-related issue.
