Yes saran wrap is the best way to keep items together. Our GWs in my area of NC only use saran and Iam grateful I don't have to worry about paint lifting when removing it.

Usually that wooden fruit is in a wooden bowl. Ive seen numerous ones of them. Plus i got the set for a wedding gift in 1973.

If no one has mentioned before you should look up the hallmark ornaments you find. Some of them, even only a year or two old can be triple the list price. Many from the 80"s go for hundreds!!

The higher price decanter is a ship's decanter. They are usually more and they are made that way so they don't tip over when storms and waves have the boat rocking

The Made in Spain metal bowl. Often those pieces are the base for or are associated with Empoli like glass pieces. Bowls, candy dishes. etc. I currently have an amber ribbed round bowl that snaps in to a base that is stamped made in Spain. The glass is usually made in Mexico. I have bought several pieces in California.

When I see gorgeous Crystal like those in the first minute I take a moment and do a Google search if I don't see an acid etch. I've found most of the time if its Waterford multiples will show up all showing Waterford. I've never been disappointed following that method. If it's not Waterford multiple ' guesses' from multiple manufacturers will come up in the results

I believe the pressed glass decanter that you purchased is Daisy and Button with Narcissus by Indiana Glass, circa 1910-1920. It was my Grandmother's favorite pattern!

Was it the second one Jocelyn kept? If so I have that decanter and 5 cordial looking glasses in the same pattern. Mine has (fading) guilding appplied to the bigger flower and rims.
