I love this channel. It keeps answering questions nobody asks and proves how tough a car can be. Cause, if you ignore the excessiveness, most of this does happen in real life. Cars being overloaded, driving without an oil change, shifting from Drive to Reverse, or Park while driving, driving on the starter motor, putting in the wrong fluids, wrong fuel all kinds of abuse. Makes me feel proud my W203 has seen no abuse at all. Closest thing she has seen to very hard driving is a top speed run on the Autobahn (once).

yeah but this is an old soviet lada with a 1.5L engines. Those soviet things are indestructible. Usually poor people just pour used vegetable oil in the fuel tank and it has no issue for 300K miles. It's fuel consuming and destroys the environment but it just refuses to break.

Idk who lied to you but after 150k kilometers those engines just die even if they're maintained perfectly. There are thousands of them over where I live and I know many people who have them. They're garbage

A tow truck wouldn't blow a clutch on that. The cars total weight is probably around 3-4 tons or 6 to 8,000 lbs, which is roughly the average weight of a full size van/suv/pickup. At least older ones from the 90s.

The improved grip due to added weight should be beneficial in terms of straight-line acceleration and also cornering ability. If it wasn't for the exorbitant cost of concrete, I'm sure that almost everyone would perform this mod to their cars in order to enjoy the performance and aesthetic enhancements therein.

These cars are very easy to work on. You MUST be a mechanic or have money to pay a mechanic to constantly work on it. Ladas do require constant repairs although they tend to be more reliable than other Russian brands. Also, forget about crash safety because there is none. BTW, there are a few Ladas in the US. Just search nationwide Craiglist ads. There is a "Lada in the USA" KZfaq channel that belongs to a Ukrainian guy. He imported a similar Lada to the US and had it titled and registered.

so funny did you tell the guy who you brought the car off what you intended to do with it? after all it looks like the previous owners pride and joy and was probably sad to see it sold maybe he was in some kind of financial difficulty and was a last resort to sell this beautiful car and was hoping the new owner would look after it

fun fact: If this car was an auto it'd have no problem driving away with the same engine because the torque converter can basically act like "hole shotting" the clutch non-stop until it starts moving. The problem is simply that the wheels are moving at zero RPM, and the engine can't run at a high RPM (and high power output) and hold it at that RPM without burning up the clutch on this lada. Assuming he's not holding the throttle down [which eats the clutch, I would know], the entire energy to get the car moving is solely from the inertia of the spinning flywheel and (tiny!) engine components. Whereas a torque converter allows you to keep the throttle on (even wide-open) while dead stop. Further, torque converters don't just allow the free-spinning we need to get moving in this scenario, but also provide "torque multiplication" because it's like a fluid version of a gear reduction. [You 'can' make non-multiplying torque converters but why would anyone want one?]

Now it needs to be destroyed somehow, so that the weight of the concrete will crush the front end. Maybe pick up the back end with a crane and drop it, or find a concrete barrier that it can be driven into, with a block on the gas pedal.
