Your technically not getting scammed. It literally says the amount of lip gloss on the package. Just because the bottle or tube is a certain size doesn’t mean you’re getting ripped off because you are getting less product.

A better explanation for this situation is when you fill a cup with water all the way to the top it's fine but if you place a ice cube inside it overfills beacuse the ice is pushing it out. This works with anything,rocks,ice and alot of items in different liquids.

Did you know that crows understand water displacement? So if you think she needs to fill the lipgloss all the way to the top, you have less spatial reasoning than a crow.
